The royal likes her response. Bailey Cooper had never been one to cater for approval. At least, not that he'd seen. Even when the League and the HNN seemed to endeavor to make her 'likable' to the masses despite that.[break][break]

"Perhaps someday you'll get your chance to meet a god," He responds, watching as a Ninjask flits out from the tree branches above to inspect the human... only to rapidly flee when it notices an ancient predator in its midst. Despite being faster, however, the Archen uses a TAILWIND to burst forward and snatch the bug in its claws.[break][break]

Again, Remiel must employ the use of a luxury ball to save the prey from certain death.[break][break]

In the meantime, he notices Siobhan's strange reaction (strange to him, anyway), and quirks a brow. "You would pass up a chance to meet Groudon? Yveltal? Or to become an avatar to either?"[break][break]

Remiel seemed a bit surprised by her flustered answer. "humans should not covet a god's power" Siobhan utters quietly "if I talk about meeting them; it most likely will not happen. why should I hope for it?" it was clear, however, that she did want to meet the legendary Pokémon. her own insecurities aside, she wanted the power. she wanted to be... important. in some small way. perhaps she wanted to prove herself worthy.

"you must think it silly" she utters "yes, I would enjoy the bond with a god. I would... like to know them. to record their exploits. to form a friendship" Siobhan's cheeks turn slightly pink "but I should not talk about such ambitions. it seems childish" she fidgeted lightly, raising a hand to brush at her blue hair. "especially in, ah, our organization." where she knew talking about power and obtaining it was different. very different.

actions spoke louder than words. she was not worthy.

Eldegoss would flicker across her view of vision in that moment, saving her more embarrassment. with a word, she'd pluck Poe's Pokeball from her belt and release the Corviknight. it went to assault the Galarian Pokemon in a flurry of Drill Pecks. the Eldegoss fainted easily and she'd toss a spare Pokeball at it.

A woman as fascinated by fairytales and myths surely wasn't as disinterested in looking for gods as she implied herself to be. Even Remiel wasn't immune to hopes and prayers every now and again, after all. He simply had a mind to separate the practical from the fantasy. Though Hoenn certainly did skew the line between the two often.[break][break]

"I don't believe it's childish at all," Remiel remarks in turn, crouching down to greet a Paras that tentatively came crawling out of a bush. "In fact... what if I told Rocket was actively looking to help obtain such power for you?"[break][break]

Pinching one of the Paras' shrooms as he inspects it, the little crab attempts to swipe at him with its claw. Albian intercepts the strike and claws at the creature with his talons. Remiel pulls out another ball and captures the Paras before the Archen can eat it, however. "You'll be poisoned, Albian. We'll find you another meal." He says, straightening in posture afterwards.[break][break][break]

her lips frowned, uncertain on how to react. "they are?" but she does not pose it as a question, not really. Siobhan raises a hand to her Clear Bell replica, fidgeting slightly. she should be proud. she should be elated. happy that she was making waves.

she wasn't.

outside of all the wrong things Rocket had done to Pokémon, she could only assume they'd acquire a legendary Pokémon the wrong way too. she wanted one to notice her naturally. she wanted a sort of bond with it. not one that was forced and tethered.

"and where has that led you so far?" she asks, watching him capture the Paras. she approaches the Eldegoss' Pokeball and pockets it. Poe lands on one of the branches overhead, peering down at the humans.

Unlike other things that had dipped below his proverbial radar, Siobhan's rhetorical question certainly did not. The royal had no doubt the prospect of being given such powers by Team Rocket was... complicated. He wasn't sure he was comfortable with the idea himself, though he had obtained his power through his own merit with Zekrom. Siobhan surely preferred the same.[break][break]

Though he spares a glance at her fidgeting with the Clear Bell replica, Remiel continues to lead the way as they move deeper into the jungle. Albian takes his place perched upon the ambassador's shoulder shortly thereafter, squawking in warning when it spots a Weepinbell hanging from a low tree branch ahead. The Grass-type blended in perfectly with its surroundings.[break][break]

Stopping just before he ran into it by accident, and pulling out an empty luxury ball, the royal taps it against the creature and watches as it is devoured by a flash of light. "I've been assembling a team within our organization," He answers, pocketing the pokéball after it ceases trembling in his hand. "Specifically tailored to disarm, detain, or eliminate avatars, if necessary." He turns over his shoulder to look at her.[break][break]

"I see" it was a simple reply at first, her eyes drifting over the area before snapping back. "but if I was to obtain Avatar Status" Siobhan begins, her eyes clouding "would there be a time I would be eliminated by your organization?" or did Remiel ever go after the League? would he betray and kill his own Rockets? must she bend the knee to his ideals? would she have to tether whatever god was partnered with her?

she didn't think she could, but it was a matter of what - and when - this whole power surge would happen. a god could reject Siobhan. could it see through her if she joined Remiel's SPECTRE? would it be willing to battle on behalf of humans, killing or detaining other Legendries? surely if Rocket gave her such power, she would feel loyal to them. not Remiel. but... she didn't know either. she really didn't. Remiel more than Rocket, if she was fair.

"you mean to give me power and then ask me to join your group" Siobhan repeats his interests "so I can be used as a weapon." her voice was matter-of-fact or lifeless; one could never tell. t'was difficult to even suggest she was upset by this notion.

As they maneuver through the noisy jungle, ducking beneath vines and squeezing between trees, a Jumpluff soundlessly floats into their path. It is sleeping as the gentle breeze carries it. Every so often, it bumps into a tree or vine and releases an ephemeral puff of pollen before continuing. Remiel isn't a botanist, but he wonders what kind of effect it has on the jungle.[break][break]

Even as he reaches for an empty luxury ball from his pack, however, his attention is snatched away by Siobhan's surprisingly straight-forward inquiry. "That would depend on what you do, of course," He answers, eyes narrowing with slight suspicion before he returns his sights to the sleeping Jumpluff ahead and casts his ball. "Needless to say, you would be better prepared than an avatar that isn't a part of this program whatsoever."[break][break]

Keep your friends close and your enemies closer and all that, right? As grim a thought as being hunted by Rocket in the future was, at least Remiel had more information about its inner workings, members, and resources as most. The same could go for Siobhan in that situation.[break][break]

Albian squawks triumphant as Remiel crouches down to pick up the recently captured Pokémon. The Archen grooms itself on his shoulder as he places the occupied luxury ball away within his pack. "You've read plenty about the dangers in this region, Miss Burke... you'd be granted these boons and the training that comes with them to serve a greater purpose, yes, but to use for your own purposes as well." He pauses, eyes cast to the waves of varying green that surround them.[break][break]

"A true weapon doesn't have a mind of its own, after all... not really." And he had no plans of indoctrinating a bizarre, brilliant mind such as her own.[break][break][break]

she had to ask. it was foolish to rush into something without knowing the full details. Siobhan was smartly on the fence regarding this. surely if she had her own power she would not have to rely on Remiel and his organization? but if she was aware of it, did something they didn't like... they could also band together and silence her. and the Legendary that came along for the ride.

she realized she was trapped by him. like a bug being pinned to the wall, mounted for all to see. "I will think about it" she answers thinly, not quite sure to how to react to the offer and to her own thoughts on it. the Flapple does not escape notice. with a soft whistle, she directs Poe to attack it. a few well timed Drill Pecks is all that stands in the grass-dragon's way. it eventually falls to the trained raven.

throwing a Pokeball, she would ask; "does Rocket know about your little project?"
