Sure enough, Albian took the Rookidee's proximity as a challenge to its bounds and leapt towards the smaller bird screeching. There was a chaotic brawl of talons and feathers that Remiel watched placidly until, finally, the Rookidee was struck unconscious on the ground ahead.[BREAK][BREAK]

Albian pranced around its body proudly, injured itself but seemingly completely unaware. Its trainer produced an empty luxury ball from his pack and crouched down to tap it against the fallen Rookidee before placing it away. After straightening in posture, he turned over his shoulder to regard the blue-haired belle.[break][break]

she lies.

"we haven't found anything" Siobhan says to Remiel Calcifet "not here, anyway" disappointment is easy as the fib, but also truthful "should we head back?" mounting another excursion would be difficult considering Remiel's position in Rocket.

but she had hope he would make time for the outings - when he could.

she also had hope that they would have come across something. sadly, she was gaining no luck on wild Pokémon either. it was time to cut their losses and go back to the submarine.

The shadow of a Staraptor flies overhead, leaving as quickly as it came. Remiel spares the airborne Pokémon a glance before regarding Siobhan again. "You can go, if you'd like. I'll keep searching further." He indifferently responds, turning back ahead when his Archen squawks.[break][break]

A Leavanny had tried to blend in with the surroundings, but failed to do so upon peeking its eyes open. Albian set upon it like a crazed fury from Greek myth, tearing apart chunks of leaf as it desperately tried to calm it (ENTRAINMENT). In a bid to save the Leavanny from a messy, gruesome end, Remiel produces an empty ball and tosses it.[break][break]

"Something better to do elsewhere?" He asks, bending down to retrieve the ball then resuming his conversation with the blue-haired lass. "There must be a reason for these wild Pokémon to be roused about in such a manner..."[break][break]

"I've collected samples I'm eager to study" she says, straightening once she bags some foliage "so I will be on my way. with luck, they will tell me something this location cannot say at the moment."

and if something interesting came back, she would be more eager to return to such a place. Siobhan was having no luck with capturing Pokemon - there was no reason to keep looking. as for the rouse of wild critters? she could not say.

but there was negativity in her unspoken words. two humans walking with their own Pokemon, making a scene... she chalked it up to that. the folklorist would walk off, waving a hand at Remiel.

Carried by a strong breeze, a Jumpluff gently glides into the scene, but it isn't long before his Archen pounces and snatches it from the sky. As the violent scuffle continues on the ground nearby, erupting as a cloud of feathers and LEECH SEED, Remiel turns to Siobhan and nods. "Understood. Be safe on your way back, Miss Burke."[break][break]

He watches as she walks away for a moment, still sensing that unspoken divide between them. When he turns back, he finds both the Jumpluff and the Archen near unconscious on the forest floor. It seemed they had taken each other out.[break][break]

So, pulling out Albian's luxury ball and an empty one for the Jumpluff, he proceeds to capture both Pokémon. Afterwards, he searches the forest for a while longer alone before deciding a cup of earl grey at his estate sounded very nice.[break][break]
