They all sounded plausible. "Hmmm, I think you're twisting the rules a bit, Razz," Bill said. "Maybe by lie of omission, or by a sneaky phrasing here or there. Either way, I don't believe there is a lie there."

"I think there are three." He used a fruit fork to point good-naturedly at Razz. "All of those statements are false!"

"I'm twisting the rules?" he questions in almost surprise but he knows what he was doing in his last set. Razz decides to take a drink of his water now rather than wait until he knew he had to lie. While he expected the other might call something out he doesn't expect this. [Break][break]

The ranger shrugs at the other, thinking on the fly like he was used to, "Sorry but it's all true, was curious to see how good your lie meter was when there was no lie" this time he decides to take an offered berry, "Sorry about bending the rules though, I was curious," his tongue burns there as that was not his intention in the slightest.

Bill laughed, spearing a slice of bluk berry. The plate of fruit was more than half gone. "I hardly thing I should be rewarded for being completely wrong. No no, we'll continue as before."

As Bill lined up his next questions, he sent out Claude, his Decidueye. Reflective eyes peered out from deep within the hood, focusing in on the fruit. Shadows shifted, and suddenly a few of the pieces were missing. Decidueye chewed, crunching on stems and rind. His long reach was paying dividends.

"I met my wife when I was seventeen, we were married a year later, and we've been together for over thirty years."

Razz just offers a small, slightly confused, smile at the other as he laughs. The ranger's humor not as light hearted as the pastor's. "If you say so," he concedes. Far be it for him to argue about the point system Bill made. [Break][break]

As Razz waits Salem goes for another of the berries he had picked from the place for himself. Shocked when they were no longer there. The small cat looks to the bird and sees him finish off the berry he picked and see to try and argue with the ghost Pokemon on how they stole from him. [Break][break]

Despite Litwick's flame going blue on one of the statements, Razz feels like skipping the point to make up for it. "Isn't Laruance older than 30?" admittedly he couldn't recall the other's exsact age but that wasn't why he choose it.

"Not unless I missed a few birthdays," Bill joked. "If I recall he's twenty-nine. And that's a miss, I'm afraid. The second one was the lie. We were married two weeks after we met."

Claude clicked and chirped at the rude little cat, before using Shadow Sneak to disappear up into a nearby tree so he could eat in peace. He snuck a few more of the berries, polishing off the plate.

"We're still at two points to one. And it's your turn again," Bill said. With the fruit now gone, he went back to sipping his ice water. The cubes had disappeared in the heat.

Salem was appalled. The nerve of this owl, first they steal the berries he already laid claim to but stole the rest. He tells his trainer something, but because the cat isn't translating he isn't 100% sure what he says. But does know he's leaving the table. "Good luck?" he tells the cat confused but for now tries to think of things to say. Ignoring how Salem launches a shadow ball at the decidueye in warning to return the berries or else! [Break][break]

"Ummm I don't have hobbies?" truth, was that sad? [Break]
"Salem there was my first pokemon, lie that was the Nidoqueen he used to have.[break]
"aaaaaand..." why was coming up with details hard? "I used to specialize in Poison pokemon"

"No hobbies sounds true," Bill said, smiling a bit too wide. "So I'd venture that you got your service Pokemon after you started out as a Pokemon trainer. That's how it usually goes."

Claude slashed the Shadow Ball in two with his Leaf Blade, and let the halves detonate in the tree around him. Leaves and bark fell to the ground, and he opened his beak wide to show there were no berries left. Bill watched the fight with amusement and ordered some another plate of berries.

"You look a bit like a Poison-type trainer, but there's no point guessing what someone used to be into. The here and now is much easier."

Salem gasp as the other shows he has eaten all the berries. Justice shall be swift! Justice shall be painful! But most of all when he knocks the bird over it’ll be delicious! And with that mindset Salem uses DISARMING VOICE to try and knock the bird out of the tree. [break][break]

Razz can’t help but groan at the two childish pokemon. You’d think one with a service license would be more well behaved. Yet this is what he choose, ah well. For now he listens to the other as he detects the lie with ease. ”You’re pretty decent at reading people aren’t you?” he questions because how else would the other be able to read it so quick? Razz had his abilities in play for this, but the pastor seemed to not even need it. ”But yeah no Salem was my second pokemon,” there is a hint of a sad look on his face as he thinks about it. Wondering how his old Nidoqueen was. Though he suppresses it for now. [break][break]

Disarming Voice knocked Claude out of the tree, but he never hit the ground. Instead, he swooped into a thick patch of shadow and reappeared underneath the table. "Let's see then," Bill mused, nodding to the server as the fresh plate of berries was delivered. He pushed it to the edge of the table, where the two feuding Pokemon could easily grab their fill.

"My hobbies are sailing and collecting sports paraphernalia," he said, thankful that he wasn't wearing any of his son's latest merchandise. "I used to be prominent in the battling circuit. Four gym badges," he paused, trying to pull up memories of his youth. "Oh, and I once dated a member of the Elite Four."

The cat looked as confused as Smee when there was no splash to be heard as the owl fell from the tree. He jumps up in surprise as the shadow moves back to the table and Salem is quick to follow. Eyes widened in glee as the berries were back, as were his favorite ones as he ignored the ghost. Taking the win since they were hiding while Salem could get the ones he wanted. [break][break]

“If you were a battler, I can’t help but feel you’d be challenging me to a battle now,” is the logic he gives when once more the ping goes off in his head. “Though I’m sort of thankful you’re not, this whole event has been taxing”

"I'm certainly not much of a battler anymore," Bill said, helping himself to one final berry before forgetting about the plate. "Three points, Razz. That makes you the winner. I must say you're quite good at this." Bill left the final assertion unsaid.

"Which means that the ice cream is on me. Shall we look at the dessert menu, or would you like to meet me in Sootopolis next week?" Bill smiled. It was welcoming, like the call of the abyss. "There's a place near my home that does a wonderful razzberry sorbet. Rather fitting, and not too sweet."
