[break][break] the team rocket member arrived at the field with the rocket admin, the air was cool and nipping on his skin. at his side were his two umbreon, lada and hesus. the latter was more adventurous, stepping forward into the hayfield, crouching down to quietly stalk a mouse. his golden rings were luminscent in the limelight of the moon.

[break][break] the female umbreon was at his side obediently, cheek pressing against his leg. her body glowed softly with MOONLIGHT, keeping a healing aura around jayden. his wounds were still not quite healed.

[break][break] he was taking a risk, being out here.

[break][break] not that Killian Decker would need to know that.

[break][break] "no UFOs," jayden agreed. he blinks, mauve-colored gaze shifting to the other man. now, jayden is not ordinarily a believer of the supernatural - which was ironic, considering his penchant for ghosts - but he is a believer in intel. and after all, they had been called her for a reason.

[break][break] a question struck him.

[break][break] "... what do UFOs look like, sir?"

[break][break] he knew what the textbooks said. he wanted to know what killian thought.

Loveless eyed the Umbreons from her perch as they approached. Oh goodie, now there were three of them. She huffed, tail flicking sassily in the air.

At Killian's feet, his own Umbreon stepped to the female accompanying Jayden. The rings on his body illuminated to match hers, his head lowered in a polite bow.

"I doubt we'll see any either." he sighed, arms crossing over his chest. An eyebrow arched at the question. Of all the things to be asked, how a UFO looked wasn't something Killian expected.

"Hmm."

He took a moment to think. Then ultimately shrugged his shoulders. "No idea. A flying saucer is a bit too obvious. Maybe a rocket, like the one in Mossdeep but more advanced." that made the most sense to him. Of course, Deoxys arrived here on a meteorite, so...

"A meteorite." he muttered under his breath.

[attr="class","jayden"] lada leans down in a bow as well. her demeanor is friendly as she bounds around the other umbreon, attempting to coax him into a session for play.

[break][break] she's always eager to meet more pokemon of her own species.

[break][break] her trainer's head inclines curiously as the rocket admin speaks. it makes sense, the words that Killian Decker is saying to him. he can't help but be a little disappointed, though. he wonders if this UFO they are looking for will appear, maybe surprising the both of them.

[break][break] "perhaps we should take a look deeper in the field." he glances at his other umbreon, clicking under his broth. hesus, who had been sending a untrusting glare at the stranger umbreon, looks up at his trainer. with a nod, he disappears into the brush to see if he can find anything unusual.

[break][break] he pauses a moment before he asks.

[break][break] "meterorite?"

[break][break] in case mr. decker had thought he'd forgotten, or perhaps not heard him. because he had not.

Fearless is happy to play. He doesn't do it often enough because of Loveless's prissy attitude. Boyishly, he nudged his head against Lada, the rings on his body lighting up a brilliant yellow.

"I doubt we'll find anything. According to the farmer, the abductions happen closer to the farm."

Where the Miltank grazed. That doesn't mean it's not worth looking, however. Whatever is claiming cows for itself could be lurking inside the tall grass.

Killian titled in Jayden's direction. So he'd heard him. Truthfully, Killian hadn't even meant to speak. A slip of the tongue saw the word pulled from his thoughts. No use in denying things now.

"A Pokemon from outer space, Deoxys, it came here on a meteorite." the other Rocket wouldn't realize it, but the fact he's sharing the information is a sign of trust. Deoxys and everything he'd known about kept close to the chest.

"So, UFOs are just meteorites."

[break][break] the words nearly break free, but jayden presses his lips together. he's sure that the admin has reason for bringing him out into the field, if not for anything than at least to let their pokemon exercise. he's sure that there's more than that though — he is an admin.

[break][break] Killian Decker must be privy to information that jayden himself does not know.

[break][break] "do you think it could be —" rockets? it would not have been the first time that jayden had partook in a red herring. "predators?"

[break][break] curiosity fills his gaze as he turns to the other, who finally explains what he means. the sound of rustling hay as lana runs into the brush, waving for the other umbreon to follow her. her golden patterning glows softly in the moonlight.

[break][break] "i read about that in the library," he says, voice carrying on the silence of the wind. "darkrai and lugia, too." he was intent on keeping up to date on any information he could keep his hands on.

[break][break] at times, the boy could be surprisingly greedy for it.

"Maybe, but then where are the bodies? A Mightyena would leave a trail, claw marks or blood. There is none." It's like the Miltank and Wooloo vanished or never existed in the first place.


A finger lifted to his lips, "So strange." dark brows scrunched in thought. Several Pokemon could teleport things away, most of them psychic types. Maybe they were dealing with one?

Fearless's ears twitched, eyes darting to the rustling bush, red orbs shot up to Killian. The admin nodded. Lowering his gaze, Umbreon gave chase, yellow lights bouncing in the darkness.

"Darkrai and Lugia."

The two names yank him from his thoughts. They were the last thing he'd expected to hear tonight. One, in particular, flooded his thoughts in haunting images. Killian's brilliant blues hardened on Jayden. Had he brought them up on purpose? Sent by Lulu Flint or Cillian Quinn to fuck with him.

Paranoia settled uncomfortably onto his shoulders.

"And what did you discover in your readings?" very little he imagined. Killian hadn't found much. Well, aside from that old book he'd uncovered in Meteor Falls.

He walked and motioned for jayden cross to follow.
