Smashing up a car always looks so fun in video games. In real life, however, it seems like a pretty daunting task. Luka stares at the beaten up vehicle in front of her intently, as though willing it to just disintegrate if she stares hard enough. [break][break] The car just sits there, motionless. [break][break] Ugh, so maybe she didn't think this through! That certainly seems to be a running thread with her lately. But they're here now and desperately need the experience...Bonbon in particular seems eager to smash things up, bouncing on the hood of the car while Luka's Togepi joins in, poking at the tire with a stubby foot. Luka smiles down at him but scoops him up a moment later, settling his protests down with a couple soothing coos. Babies shouldn't be participating in property damage! [break][break] "Okay Bonbon," she says, directing her attention at the Buneary still hopping up and down. "L-let's try this out! Use, um...let's try a double kick!" [break][break] However, it seems that no matter how well Luka and her team might do on their own, she's probably going to need some help... [break][break] Mission! So, cars needed to be demoed. And what a great way to earning a bit of extra cash. And for Shuppet to get some extra practice done. Of his four Pokemon, Aaron's Shuppet was probably his weakest, with his Trevenant being his strongest. The five foot four blond boy strode up with his little ghost type following closely and noticed someone was already attempting to smash up the car. Some pink haired young lady with a Buneary. He turned towards his Shuppet. "Shuppet, use Shadow Sneak." The ghost snickered, and extended her shadow. Normally, the attack would target a Pokemon. Instead, the normal type Buneary would see a shadow show up next to it, and attack the car, hopefully putting in a good dent in it.

The amber eyed teen walked around the car and waved at the lady. "Mind if we help out?

The shadow sneak attack remained undetected right until the moment it hit. Though Bonbon had at least noticed the shadow, she was just as startled as Luka when it put a huge dent in the car. Both trainer and Pokemon jumped at the same time- they looked almost identical, with big round eyes and pink hair (or fur) fluffing up in surprise. Luka's heart was racing as she whirled around to see a young boy and a Shuppet standing behind her, breaking out into nervous giggles a moment later as she calmed down.[break][break] In truth, ghosts had always made her a little uneasy. But that was no reason to be unkind, especially when someone was offering to help! This boy looked a little young to be doing something so potentially dangerous...but then again, he was probably already a better trainer than she at his age, and could likely handle himself. Luka put on her best smile and nodded gratefully, gesturing to the car that Bonbon was now trying to kick again. [break][break] "Oh gosh...sorry about that! Y-yes, um, we could certainly use your help!" She turned back to the car, poking it with her foot while Toffe squirmed in her arms. "That was a really strong move...but this thing is sturdy! Aaron nodded. Normal vehicles were tough enough as it was, but these seem to be much tougher. "I'm Aaron Toral. Nice to meet you. Shuppet, try a Night Shade attack." The woman was nice enough, if a little startled. She also seemed a little uneasy. He didn't if it was because of him and his age doing something like this, or if it was because he was using a ghost-type pokemon. He adored ghost and steel types, hence those were his pokemon of choice. But he also knew that not everyone liked ghost-types. Especially certain once. The bunny pokemon continued to kick with its trainer's command, this time doing much more damage. From Shuppet's horn, a dark energy blast fired out at the car, across the hood of it.

Destroying a car on her own had seemed an impossible task. But with two people, it was going much better! The brunt of two attacks made the metal buckle and dent, the old tires beginning to sag with the weight of holding up the crumpling vehicle. [break][break] "Wow!" Luka exclaimed, stepping back to observe the damage. "Teamwork really makes the dream work, huh?" She giggled, the childish phrase not inspired by her companion's youth but her own girlish excitement. Luka was a generally reserved woman, sweet and polite, who rarely set a toe out of line. So letting loose like this was rather thrilling, even if it was just smashing up some junky old car. [break][break] "Oh! I'm Luka...sorry! I guess I got a little carried away," she laughed again and gestured over to Bonbon, who was jumping up and down on the roof of the car again. "And this is Bonbon! Are you doing this to train for the tournament too?" she asked. "We need all the practice we can get...ah, speaking of which! Bonbon, let's try flail this time!" Aaron kept a neutral expression. Though his thinking was along the lines of who the hell says something so...corny? Just...wow. The Night Shade attack made deep welts across the hood, and dropped the front a bit. The vehicle was getting pretty banged up now. The roof even caved in! And part of it got torn off from the impact. The blonde teenager got a name to go with the face. But he didn't know about a tournament at all. "Tournament? There's going to be a tournament soon? What kind? Or is it just a standard battle tourney" He had no real interest in Pokemon battles. Well...sort of. He was interested in being a gym leader, but he wanted to talk more about with the one that he knew. "Shuppet, try Phantom Force, let's try to wrap this up..." Hopefully he was lucky in that it would finish off the vehicle.

The car was definitely worse for wear at this point. Utterly unsalvageable, it looked more like the abstract idea of a car- all misshapen, twisted metal and shattered glass, deflated tires hissing as air escaped them in a rush. Luka felt rather proud of the two of them as she stepped back to observe their work, while Bonbon celebrated by jumping up and down on the roof again. [break][break] "Eh? Oh, um....I think it's a standard tournament? Erm...straightforward battles and the like..." It wasn't like she knew enough about tournaments to know the difference, and she certainly didn't speak with much confidence. "That's why we're kicking down this old car! It's like...practice, or something!" [break][break] At that, the Togepi in her arms wiggled and cried again. Since the car was so busted up at this point Luka finally acquiesced and carefully set him down near one of the busted tires, where he babbled and giggled and poked at it with his foot. The car was so badly damaged that there wasn't much more they could do to wreck it even more. It was kind of funny and horrific that a couple of cute, small Pokemon had enough power to do that. He smiled as Shuppet joined the Bunnary in celebrating. "Or a good test to see how strong your Pokemon are. Though if you want real practice, another person is always better." A very straightforward tournament then. He half wondered if maybe there was time to sign up yet. And if not, maybe he'll at least watch and gather some information. He did show some worry when the Togepi was let go and allowed to pick at the busted vehicle.

"At the very least, we made something easier to clean up a little and break down. Whoever decides to scrap it can probably get a decent amount of cash for it..." And not keep it littered around the beach. It could make a good Pokemon home, but it was still unsightly, and bad for the environment. "Hey Shuppet, let's try to do a little bit more. Use Phantom Force."

It seemed that all that jumping around had finally tuckered Luka's Pokemon out; and Aaron's Shuppet, by the looks of it. Toffee's poking at the wreckage wasn't doing any damage either, but Luka didn't mind it much- though she did keep a close eye on the little egg, letting him have his fun while on constant lookout for broken glass or other dangers. It was as difficult line to toe: while she wanted him to have some experience, he was still just a baby. But she'd have to let him fend for himself at some point, right? [break][break] "I guess you're right. Practical battling experience is good..." But she didn't want to admit that she had none, and wasn't keen to have her butt kicked by someone a decade her junior. "But, mmm, this was kind of a fun way to work off some steam! And you're right..we make a good couple of trash compactors, I'd say." She laughed softly and went to retrieve Toffee, who was starting to wander off towards the engine. Now that would be bad for the baby. "And thank you for all your help, Aaron!
