Temp wasn't really much of a battler. After what happened at the eating contest with Zac Ramsay, he was looking to let out a little nervous energy, though. A while vacation! He'd won it! Hell yeah!

"Wanna have a quick match?" His hand is already digging into his pocket, pulling out a scuffed up lure ball. A gift from his friend.

"Sure." Maybe he could finally show his aptitude for it.

All that went gurgling down the drain after he released a Nidoking, only to see a Lapras unleashed by his opponent. Of all the scummy... Ah, f#ck it. Biting down on his lip, Adrian tried to relax his shoulders, rolling them. "Nidoking, Sludge Wave!"

An acrid ooze propelled from its gullet, steaming as it streamed forth from the pit of its guts, threatening the Lapras with the volatile gunk as well as the associated miasma.

See, Adrian Malcolm may have thought it was scummy... but Temp was just too stupid for strategy. He had just happened to accept a battle from a man who used mainly water type pokemon.

The pink Lapras was kind of immobile on land until she could get started...

"Yo! That stuff looks stinky! Safeguard!"

The barrier was thrown up even as the attack him, preventing her from getting poisoned for now.

"Disable." Let's see them avoid the poison now...

Adrian sneered at the Lapras distastefully; he wanted nothing more than to win, but circumstance seemed to actively conspire against him. Without a means to exploit Lapras' weaknesses, he would simply have to pick away at them carefully. But once the pokemon called on the waters... It would be over. How can I avoid that...

The Disable struck, making Lapras a little confused on what she had just done. Good thing it was up for five turns in total, though! So they wouldn't have to worry for a bit about it.

"Hmm.... this thing looks strong! What kind of pokemon is it?" Temp really only knew pokemon from the ocean or around it.

"Oh! Hey, try that ice move!" The Lapras shook off the annoyance from the Disable and summoned frigid ice for an Avalanche.

Adrian Malcolm

Short answer: He couldn't. Trapped under an avalanche of ice and snow, Nidoking couldn't break free. And although he'd normally panic trying to think up a solution, Adrian's best idea was... to do nothing? It appeared that way on the surface.

"Nido, rest up!" Although doubtlessly wounded where it remain entrenched in the snow, he hoped it would at least hear his muffled voice. Using the snow as insulation and a buffer, Nidoking remained inside and attempted falling into a deep sleep.

Aw, the guy ignored his question.... sad times. He must have been really into the battle.

But, oh no, the purple pokemon didn't come out from under the ice! Maybe it was trapped!

"Use that blue move!"

A Dragon Pulse shot out from her, aiming to 'free' the Nidoking from the ice and snow.

Adrian Malcolm

Blasts of draconic energy chipped away the ice until naught remained but the slumbering Nidoking, which refused to wake up even as Adrian berated it to move. Well, I can't really be upset about that, now can I? His brow furled out of frustration as he kept calling out, urging the pokemon to wake up and move.

"Hmmm..." Well, the big purple guy was asleep... the tactical advantage would be to attack it down, while it was vulnerable.

That just felt kind of shitty, though. Like, the bug dude was just having a snooze! Why wake him up? Just seemed underhanded.

"Use, uhhhh... the Misty move!"

Lapras chirped before she started to exhale a thick Mist onto the field.

"Oi, wake up you big lug!" As if on cue it woke itself up, startled by the change in scenery and firing off a sonar pulse as a response. It was a low frequency sort of 'screech' (though it felt more like a concussive force) that punctured the air. Adrian felt disoriented by the force, staggering where he stood. Fuck me, he'd have to avoid doing that without covering his ears first in the future. Dazed, he lost track of the fight.

The attack hit lapras and it stung, the force of the attack making her shake her head to get the ringing out of her ears.

But, hey, the big purple guy was awake again!

"Okay, Water Pulse!"

At least he knew the name of that move!

Nidoking wore a face that said it all: Same hat?

For a moment it looked like it would hold on by a thread, but as it finally began lumbering forward, it began to look unsteady on its feet. Raising a foot, it stood there on one left, showing great trepidation about putting its foot down. Though its tail acted as a counterbalanced, it fell on its ass and held its head in its hands.

Well, the big purple guy looked down and out! So maybe just one more move and they would win... this was cool! Temp hadn't expected to win so much today!

"Woo! Pulse it again!"

One last attack, a Dragon Pulse! Then we only need to post once more each and I can turn this puppy in Adrian Malcolm.
