Cardamom had captured yet another Pokemon while exploring the beach, a rare shiny Tentacool. While she'd told Zap he didn't need to fight, he was apparently curious as to what all the fuss was about. So she'd agreed to let him have one battle, which was why she was standing by a water arena right now, the Tentacool floating in the middle of the pool and looking quite curious at the composition of the tile. She chuckled a bit.[break][break]
"It's pretty smooth, isn't it?" she said. "We have to make them easy to clean, after all."

With his phone going off once more about another possible challenge Razz arrives at what seems to be a pool on the beach. A little odd to him personally but what could you do? He looks at the arena and the young teen there to see a pokemon already in it. With his own pokemon out Salem seems to whisper something to the Starmie before both pokemon jump into the water. Intending to splash the other trainer and pokemon as a joke above anything else. [break][break]

The Meowstic is atop the starmie and gives a bit of a laugh as Razz rolls his one good eye. [break][break]

"Uhh hi?" he greets lightly, "Sorry about that, they're.... dumb"

"That's good not everyone as forgiving on their antics," he chuckles lightly before shaking his head, "The Meowstic, Salem, is my Service Pokemon, he doesn't battle much." he explains slightly because he wasn't the type to get into details for the most part. Most people understood what they were for anyways. [break][break]

"I'm Razz Kingsman, Ranger of Sootopolis," he briefly, and professionally introduces. Used to that rather than saying Silph Co, oops. Though either way he tries to be professional when he can be.

Cardamom nodded. "Well, it's nice to meet you, Mr. Kingsman," she said, nodding in slight understanding of the circumstances. "I'm Cardamom Bliss, of the Bliss Family Bakery! We've got a food stall down with the others, my parents figured it'd be a great way to get some publicity." Zap, meanwhile, floated a bit closer to the duo, burbling curiously at his intended opponents. But since Cardamom hadn't said anything about starting the battle yet, he made no move to attack. That was how trained Pokemon did it after all, wasn't it?

Razz gives a whistle to call Sal who jumps from the Starmie to his trainer. The cat shaking his body to get both trainers wet. "Brat," he mumbles as he bonks the cat on the head. The Meowstic pretending to play dead because of it because truly it was the hardest bonk in the world. [Break][break]

Zap burbled a bit as Salem left the pool. Now that made much more sense. It was just Water-type on Water-type now. Cardamom chuckled at the trainer and Meowstic's antics, before calling out, "Start strong! Wring Out!" The Tentacool immediately started moving, tentacles emerging to wrap around the Starmie's extremities and squeeze as hard as he could.

The battle was now away, and it was time to see if the training of Rasin was enough. Seeing as they were part of the defense squad he was making for his water types. As the tentacles wrap around them they don't have much of a face to show any concern. Razz just gives a whistle for an order.[break][break]

The Starmie using PSYCHIC to knock the poison type back.

Right, Starmie were part-Psychic as well. Zap winced at the hit, the jewels on his head flashing in distress as he backed away, staring intently at the floating star as if trying to comprehend what it'd just done. "Screech!" called Cardamom. Still keeping his distance, Zap let out a loud screeching noise, aiming to weaken his opponent's defenses. Honestly though, considering the lack of expression, Cardamom wasn't sure how she could tell if it'd worked.

The screech makes their body vibrate in pain. Successfully lower their defenses, though neither they or their trainer were worried. Not yet while the had the upper hand his typing. Though it wasn't like something unexpected could happen. So he'd continue on, another whistle. [Break][break]

This time the starfish pokemon calls stars from their gem as they use SWIFT

The blasts of starry energy zeroed in on the Tentacool, who could only curl in to make sure they hit his bell instead of his more delicate tentacles. Cardamom winced, but called out another command. "Rapid Spin!" she yelled. "Take advantage of that Screech!" The Tentacool immediately started moving in again, spinning faster and faster before slamming into the Starmie like a buzzsaw...made of tentacles.

The rapid spins hits and knocks the gem pokemon back. There is a bit of dizziness there but it was nothing they couldn't handle. Even with their weaken state. They wanted to prove themselves to be a good guardian so they would keep going. Their trainer gives another whistle and the gem in the middle begins to glow. [break][break]

Powered up Rasin uses PSYBEAM to attack.

This close, there was no way for Zap to dodge. The Tentacool was sent flying back, smacking into the side of the pool. However, he floated back upright, not quite down and out yet. Cardamom nodded, considering their options. "Alright...let's hope this works! Water Pulse!" The water between the two Pokemon picked up into a rolling pulse, flying straight at the Starmie. If that confusion could successfully hit-

Despite the water attack not being as effective as other things. Rasin's body spins as their gem glows. They were starting to feel the wear and tear of battle. So to ensure they could keep on going they used RECOVER to heal themselves. [break][break]

Starmie gives a bit of a 'heeya heeya!' in a taunting manner, clearly having fun with the battle.
