Another battle. The heat was unrelenting, but he had more to do, and more to prove. Showing up to yet another makeshift battlefield, he looked over at his opponent.

“Hey. Name’s Bo.”

The pokeball was tossed, releasing his Armaldo, who stretched and gave a ready roar. Immediately, its defenses were raised as it HARDENED.

“Good luck!”

"Dude! Hi, Bo! Call me Temp!" It was just a nickname but he liked that name better than his real one sometimes.

He whistled at the Armaldo. That thing looked super strong! He wasn't sure he could beat it but it would be fun to try!

Pulling out a pokeball, he sent out Umbreon. He didn't have too many pokemon so it was slim pickings for him. Had to double up for these battles.

"Show it 'yer teeth!"

The Umbreon Snarled to attack.

“Temp.” Weird name, like his maybe. “Nice to meet you.”

Armaldo watched as the Umbreon bared its teeth, darkness coming forth from its mean, foxy face to inflict pain on the fossil-type, who gave a groan. Now that their special attacks would me less effective, they'd opt for a different strategy. “Focus, Armaldo. FORCE CLAW.”

It ran forward—though of course not as agile and quick as the Umbreon—attempting to find purchase with its claws, and if not, at least break the distance between them on the field.

Thankfully, maybe, for boruta maher, Temp had no idea hwo the fuck to fight his pokemon. If it wasn't a water type or lived around the beach, he usually has no good idea what it even was.

"Quick attack!" Whatever that was, it looked dangerous, so he had his Umbreon Quick Attack... to try and get away! The Force Claw was just too fast, though, and still hit her on the behind as she tried to get away.

Was the Umbreon… running away?

Bo turned his head to the side a little, pursing his lips and looking up to Temp almost questioningly. It felt wrong to command an attack against something that was fleeing.

However, the Armaldo was not shy. In fact, most of Bo’s dinosaurs were a little aggressive when it came to battling. It chased after, lunging with X-SCISSOR.

The attack hit harder but not before Umbreon could use a Copycat. Soon enough, a phantom X-Scissor was being sent right back at the Armaldo to do some damage.

Temp cheered and clapped for his pokemon, willing her to do her best.

Armaldo was hit, dealt a dose of its own X-SCISSOR medicine—not so sweet, mind you. It stumbled back, dazed for a moment, and then radiating with its ANCIENT POWER. Unfortunately, the prior SNARL would mean that it would not be as effective, but the fossil-type felt it was in a pinch, and did what it could.

More rocks flew towards the fox, who was perhaps more formidable than expected! Believe in yourself, Umbreon!

The Ancient Power slammed into Umbreon, making her yelp out from the hint.

She turned to snap back, a Dark Pulse of energy being sent in retaliation.

Come on, Umbreon! You can do this!

At close range, it was all they could do. The barrier caused the spiraling darkness to simply bounce off around the fossil-type.

Armaldo took a few steps back, hoping not to meet such an attack again at such close range. That could hurt a bit too much, and from a small distance, they could try a something else.

Since the protect bought some time, a shimmering Moonlight sparked on the Umbreon's fur, healing her up some.

She was feisty! Had to be, since those bugs moves could really fuck up her day.

"Woo! Go Lil Lulu! She's one of my best pokemon! Named after one of the meanest ladies I know, too!" He seemed weirdly proud of that.

Huh. Wasn’t that the name of the crazy woman that kept getting disqualified? Maybe…

Coincidence.

“Oh! That’s…” What do you say to that? “A cool name, man.” Was it?

Armaldo acted without instruction again, seeming to be quite comfortable and confident in this battle. A WATER GUN was projectile vomited out of nowhere towards poor Lulu. Perhaps she could not catch a break.

Small world, wasn't it? To think that the crazy Lulu that boruta maher was thinking about was the same one as here.... it was amazing.

"Thanks!" Tempw as impossible to insult and only took things literally sometimes. He was just too dumb to function otherwise. Or, at least, that's what he preferred people think.

The water soaked the poor Umbreon but at least she could shake this off a little better.

More surpringly, another Copycat made her use a Water Gun right back.

More COPYCAT. The WATER GUN shot right back at the Armaldo, and it gave a surprised sort of sound as it was blown back with its own attack yet again—and this one was even more effective than the last! Water? Oh no!

But Armaldo shook it off, and decided to opt for its favorite move instead. Rocks glowed with ANCIENT POWER and shot for Umbreon.

Sadly for Lil Lulu, this would be the move that done her in.

The Ancient Power landed, knocking her over and she didn't get back up.

Temp sighed but called quickly smiled, pleased with how well she did.

"That was a really good battle! Your pokemon is strong, too!"
