Killian laughed and downed another drink. One more, and then he'd be ready to leave. He didn't want to get so wasted he couldn't see straight.

"Something told me you were a wine guy." Killian pegged Mars for a scotch drinker too, but only the wine was worth teasing him over. "Red or white?" he asked with a smile. As he waited for an answer, Killian poured himself another glass and nursed it between his hands.

See, it really wouldn’t be fair not to have the same number of rolls, so let me just tell you about how glad Mars is that things turned out this way:

A lot about this little trip of his to the hot springs had not been what he wanted it to be, but amidst all his disappointment and amidst all of his wishes to get distracted from the endless thoughts that came with it, running into Killian had been a good silver lining.
