Just how many people had volunteered for that pop-up restaurant, only to find one of these strange chips? Certainly, enough that people began to care about it, that was for sure. A mystery to be solved, something she refused to just sit down and do nothing about.[break][break]

Summoning her own swarm of Unown, Ruby set out onto the road. Mt. Pyre had a collection of Psychic Pokemon, although the presence of Ghost Pokemon did unnerve her somewhat. With any luck, her own group would draw in any Unown by their own lonesome. Or perhaps, her own group would simply draw in those who were also looking for Unowns. Perhaps it was best to be a bit cautious.

it seems he isn't the only one out here looking for unowns today.

a swarm approaches him and its movements are precise enough to tell him that they aren't wild. he waits for their trainer, and soon enough, approaches her with a smile.

Ruby simply blinked in surprise at the stranger approaching her. He seemed familiar, but not in the personal experience sort of way. At this pace, she simply presumes that she's at least seen everyone in Hoenn once upon a time even if she didn't speak with them. Regardless, he seemed friendly enough. Ruby would smile softly in response as she spoke up. "As did I, but I guess it wasn't meant to be."[break][break]

Her Unown swarm slowly begins to turn to look at Matias, their curiosity growing as their unblinking eyes faced him. Ruby simply ignored their actions for now, they never made sense anyway.[break][break]

"I'm Ruby. Don't mean to bother you. I take it, you're here on business Mr...?"[break][break]

Her Unown suddenly swirled around, facing a pair of Pokemon fighting one another in the distance. A Cofagrigus and a Grumpig. However, it seemed as if they were simply forming a wall with their letter-like forms, protecting their trainer from stray blows.

at mount pyre? seems suspicious but the thought never occurs to him. he simply smiles, friendly enough.

"matias. and you're not a bother at all. i appreciate the company."

at the appearance of wild pokemon, matias whistles, and from out of nowhere comes a blur of green. a LEAF BLADE slashes across grumpig, catching it off guard enough for matias to simply chuck over a pokeball.

"are you out here for more unown?"
