Whatever it takes. Eva would love nothing more than to see Eris released from Rocket’s vice grip. Although she’d refuse to go the lengths Matias would, there’s a part of her that would be satisfied with the end result. After all, there’s not much more foul than Rocket in this world. And to manipulate an innocent little girl? Inexcusable. It’s a path she’d rather avoid. Perhaps the child would come willingly. It’s a hopeful thought, too hopeful perhaps. Who knows how deep the venom has sunk into her veins.

After the Makuhita is dealt with, the impatient scientist glances towards Virizion, “How much longer do you think she’ll be asleep?” her fingers fidget with a particular pokeball at her waist. The Unown continue to dance behind her in a rather benign fashion, showing little interest in their path, “Perhaps we should dig into Mt. Chimney,” she concludes, plucking the pokeball off her waist, “Groudon went underground, after all, right? Same with the other one?”

A light catches the shadows, and an Onix rises tall above them. Her darks eyes peer down at the people and pokemon below. Eva grins towards Matias, “What do you say? Down for a little more adventure?” The Unown buzz excited around her head, drawing off her anxious energy.

MATIAS SILPH CAUGHT THE MAKUHITA!

Silly question, of course he is always ready for more adventure. Eva’s grin matches his own in a familiar way. A small hand reaches out to slap the stone beast’s side. Her hand stings after impact but she refrains from letting the wince of pain cross her face, “Alrighty then! Let’s do it to it. Dig!” she commands, pointing towards the stone side of Mt. Chimney. The pokemon’s deep roar scares away the nearby Gothitelle and Pignite.

The ground shakes and loud cracks echo across the side of the mountain as the Onix plows headfirst into the stone. Eva waits for Matias’s to follow alongside it. The beasts make a tunnel plenty wide enough for them to walk comfortably through. Eva descends, peering into the darkness. They’d have to reach a cavern eventually . . . right? “Got anything to light the way?”

No light? Ok. Whatever happens to get into their path will need to be quick to take a detour or else get crushed by the barreling Onix. The poor Solrock wasn’t so lucky. Onyx crashed through a mound of dirt and right over the dual type. A small blast of CONFUSION fizzled into nothing, and Eva couldn’t help but feel bad for the injured pokemon. She tosses a pokeball out while they pass the scoop up the Solrock with the intention of nursing it back to health and eventually releasing it again.

Onix digs on, the thunderous rumble is deafening. They’re on THE HUNT for a cavern of some sort, anywhere Groudon and Regidrago may have been able to flee after the events of Mt. Chimney.

THE MIENFOO AND SOLROCK ARE CAPTURED SUCCESSFULLY. The dig continues. Under the light of MAGICAL LEAF, Eva's Onix churns the earth in search of tunnels, caverns, trails left in Groudon and Regidrago's wake.

The ultimate fate of these two titans is still unknown. Eris Halla and mint frost may have uncovered one of Amor Rose's PRIMAL NODES in their dig— but as these two members of the League navigate deeper into the earth, they discover something peculiar.

The Onix drops suddenly into another floor.

A large tunnel. Perfectly cylindrical. No jutting stone or marring save for herbal roots that have begun to regrow from the dirt they stick out from.

The sight is unnatural. There is no way the earth could naturally form in this perfectly circular, smooth barrel as if this stretch of gravel, soil and muck has been suddenly displaced.

There is no Groudon. No Regidrago. Just a perfect void.

The fall is sudden and unexpected. Her stomach drops, and she cries out in surprise as they crash down through the earth into another tunnel. She grips onto the pokemon’s horn tight to keep from falling off and when the dust settles, her grip loosens.

The Unown buzz excited around her head and their sclera glow with HIDDEN POWER, further illuminating the void.

The professor takes a moment to inspect their surroundings before sliding off the Onix. A hand reaches out to run along the perfectly smooth wall of the cylinder.

There’s nothing and it’s so familiar. She keeps finding nothing where something should be. This just seems to be a larger version of the lesion the found in Piggie Smalls. A perfect line, created by a perfect beam, leaving nothing.

Her gaze turns towards Matias, a knowing smirk. She’s excited, “I’ve got a few,” she smiles, all of them implied dangerous adventures.

This smells like Primal Energy to Eva

He mirrors her smirk, and she nearly melts. Her echoed love for adventure in him is one of the many reasons she loves him. A spark of excitement ignites more pointed movements. She moves closer to Matias’s Onix, and returns her own. One is enough to trek through this void. She nimbly scrambles up to sit in front of him, withdrawing a different pokeball from her side.

A flash of light bring the Gardevoir out into the darkness. She shifts, gracefully moving to face Eva and Matias atop the Onix, “Alright, Adele, you’re up! What you got, girl?” They’ve trekked through Hoenn dozens of times by now searching for Primal Energy. According to zenji jabami, psychic-types with TELEPATHY are particularly sensitive to surges. Adele's efforts had yet to actually work, unfortunately. Perhaps this would be another failed attempt.

Adele knows the drill, she stretches her mind, linking with the Unown, the Onix, even Virizion. She searches for something to cling to, something out of the ordinary.

Eva leans back comfortably against Matias's chest, “This might take a minute.”

THE GARDEVOIR ATTEMPTS TO TRACE PRIMAL ENERGIES. For awhile, there is little the psychic-type Pokemon can detect; however, after much scrutinizing, the Pokemon gains its bearings after clinging to lingering vestiges in this unnatural tunnel.

Traces of primal energy can be found embedded in the rocky walls. The Gardevoir also senses DRAGON-TYPE energy alongside it, strewn across the invisible veins of their remnants. Nevertheless, the amount is little or diminished. Most likely, this occurred before Amor Rose's PRIMAL NODES were put in place.
