the happiny seems to agree as well as she nods her head in approval.

matias can't help but laugh a little when eris fails to whistle. she had done it so easily in the tournament that he can't help but wonder if she's feeling a bit nervous.

but then again, meeting a legendary can be quite intimidating.

so, he nods, smiling as he pinches his fingers in between his lips.

through a wild parasect's POISON POWDER, a green blur passes through, slashing a SACRED SWORD across the bug-type's skin before a pokeball consumes it.

eris would feel a tug on her hand that holds the berry, and when she looks, it's virizion who bumps her nose gently into eris' hand.

But home has become such a foreign concept to her, hasn't it? Even now, she remains uncertain of whether she can truly call a place her home. Then again, perhaps home is something more abstract - Something sappy like, anywhere that Reiner is can be called home?

She watches the Sacred Sword fall in awe, her attention far too fixated on the elegant creature to spare even a gasp. Virizion is way bigger but also way gentler than she's ever expected. Even the nudge of her hands is enough to tell of the legendary's kindness, her palm gingerly outstretched as the berry is offered up. Though he's a little stupefied himself, Reiner doesn't quite forget his manners, bowing his head for a brief moment to acknowledge the presence of this Sword of Justice.

Even the critters of the forest are attracted to this strange sight, a tiny Seel pulling itself free of a nearby stream and sliding over to them upon a thin road of ice. When it gets stuck on the dirt, the Wooper Troopers are there to help, paving the rest of the path with water and icy breaths. Anything to help a fellow adventurer! Or something like that?

"H- hi!" Stumbling over her words, Eris only has seconds to come up with a cohesive sentence, her gaze repeatedly flicking between Matias and Virizion. Even Reiner seems unable to offer her any advice; They've never had an encounter like this before, after all.

it's difficult not to feel guilt when eris talks about her mother, because it wasn't all too long ago that matias made a promise that he couldn't keep.

but giving eris a home is something he might be able to do.

matias chuckles as he watches the two interact. virizion is more than content with eating the berry, but dips her head in response to all the other greetings.

she summons a swirl of MAGICAL LEAVES that flow past them, though a single one floats in front of eris. a gift, perhaps?

"I'm really trying!" She whines, gently shoving Matias' elbow when he laughs at her. "I'm not the one that has Virizion running to visit willy nilly!" In some sense, she's a little jealous of how close he is to this majestic creature. But that emotion is promptly swept aside when the wind begins to blow, magical leaves swirling all around them with one quietly floating right before her eyes. When she looks to Reiner, the Luxray seems equally confused but encourages her nonetheless, prompting her to take the leaf into her hands.

"It's really pretty... Thank you!"

With how carefully she cradles it, it's something almost akin to a miracle that the leaf slips from her grasp, twirling and dancing through the air before finally landing on the head of a curious Surskit. Eris blinks once, then twice at the bug and it blinks back, swaying as it hums in greeting. With a little bit of help, she clambers off Reiner's back, walking over to pick the Surskit up. Then, she turns her gaze to Matias, gesturing for him to bend down a little.

If he does so, she smiles, giggling as she places the bug atop his head.

he smiles, peering up at the surskit resting comfortably atop his head. he turns to virizion then before gesturing up.

"thoughts?"

virizion hums in thought for a moment before sending another MAGICAL LEAF towards them. a sign of her approval, he's guessing.

reaching up to pluck a burmy off the tree, matias turns to eris, handing it to her.

"try this on. it makes for a good beard."

the sight is warm, lovely, and matias can't help but laugh at how she does her best to impersonate a powerful wizard.

virizion nods her head in approval, this time sending a swarm of MAGICAL LEAVES over at eris, showering her with them.

the wild durant seems to think so, too, as it snaps its pinsirs together almost as though it's clapping. waving it over, matias allows it to join their train.

A cry behind her snares her attention, pulling it away as she hastily gazes back towards her Wooper Troopers. From the way that they're hopping and skipping, they seem to have found something in the water that they'd like her to look at. And as the supreme commander of this elite squad, she can't possibly ignore their requests!

With a pat on his shoulder, Reiner hastily slinks towards them to sneak a peek. Even so, his gaze is never fully taken off Eris, his tail curling in anticipation as she crouches beside the water's edge

"Awhh! It's a Finneon! And he's really pretty too..."

His scales shimmer with the flow of water, his head briefly popping out as he chirps at her and her team. When he invites her into the depths with a flick of his fins, she declines but offers him a berry in return.
