He barely had time to get a feel for what the Oranguru could do before its first match came about.

What ZEN HEADBUTT and PSYBEAM didn't do as the two psychic's came to battle blows, FOUL PLAY certainly would. In the end it was Oranguru who left the lasting impression over the other pokémon, another home-regional favorite species, and over the trainer himself.

Even Tuskuyomi enjoyed the display.

nidoking (m) rivalry - poison jab, toxic, flatter, peck, earth power, double kick

a frillish! makes him think of when Martín del Mar caught the ugly one.

matias is just about to pass it before it decides to ABSORB away at nidoking's life. the audacity? there's only one way to deal with a pest like this.

a DOUBLE KICK sends it splat against the wall, making it far too easy to simply toss a pokeball over at it before it even has a chance to slide to the ground.

Looking to dominate the other psychics that came about Oranguru used FOUL PLAY and more regularly physical strikes to beat the psychic egg tree to a sleeping state.

It was brutal and unrefined but the Oranguru showed it raw power and seemingly a budding understanding of type matching.

alas, the battle starts, and it's with ease that nidoking closes the distance to throw out the first POISON JAB. it retaliates with a DISABLE, but that's fine because nidoking knows other moves.

a DOUBLE KICK later and it's down and ready to be captured.

with nidoking's RIVALRY TRACED, it turns to face its new opponent only to find the kirlia cute instead of a threat. still, orders are orders, and nidoking knows to put duty before love.

"get that binch."

the poison-type roars, rushing forward to throw DOUBLE KICKS at the kirlia. its MAGICAL LEAF slices, though isn't nearly enough to stop the PECK from downing it.

FOUL PLAY and CONFUSION were powerful moves to keep a Froslass on her toes.

The bitter sting of cold came harder and hard to bare as the battle raged on. DISABLE from the wild pokémon took away half Oranguru's moves.

It was a long slog to victory using the other half and Froslass would hold a grudge on the psychic-type that did her in.

FOUL PLAY and CONFUSION once again broke the start of the battle. Sinistea were obscure and very helpful in the kitchen.

Oranguru seemed to pick as much from his thoughts and went on a psychic-move spree until the teacup was tore up.

A premiere ball did the rest, as they are want to do.

With nothing left to battle the Oranguru sat and his new trainer sat with him. At the appearance of another wild one in the vicinity he riled up again only to be quelled by its new authority Figure.

"Take a breather would ya." WIth a huff of relief and a passing of chimecho. Oranguru did just that.

LUCKY CHANTS can be heard rom a distance, echoing through the narrow cavern walls. matias heads in the direction, keen on finding what it is.

MYSTICAL FIRES seek them. matias ducks, but his nidoking is not as lucky. it takes the damage, grunts, and charges forward to slam its fists into the EARTH, summoning its POWER to encase the mismagius in a shell.
