so, they begin their walk. they fall into the same rhythm eventually.

a ralts TELEPORTS in front them, then again to appear behind them. marowak is quick to bonk it with its BONEMERANG, though, stopping it from TELEPORTING any more. matias captures it after.

it was strange, walking next to him. a member of the league’s elite four. one of hoenn’s strongest…

although, she wondered how they’d each fare in a one-on-one with the likes of oscar clayton , bryan delarosa , or even her brother Rowan Wrynn , or Serena Malcolm , who had both made rocket proud over the recent months, since sootopolis. these, their own elite four.

her attention was briefly stolen by the ralts that appeared there in front of them, but it was quickly incapacitated and taken.

she looked back over at him.

there was a small smirk. she wondered if her name had made its way through the league, yet. FERNANDO SILPH had known of her avatar status for some time, now, after all.

but, then again, a first name told little.

his marowak quickly handles the weepinbell, making it weep with its DOUBLE-EDGE before a pokeball consumes it.

her eyes went ahead, knowing it had been an exceptionally bad match. a real doozy.

”thanks,” she responded flatly.

they passed by a weepinbell, and the ensuing battle distracted from the haunter that came out of nowhere to startle her. the hairs raised on her neck as she looked back toward it, eyes wide before ducking. when she looked up again, it had vanished.

after a shiver, she continued walking.

”i hate ghosts…”

it was a real doozy of a match, wasn't it? it sure was fun, though.

the sight of her ducking under the haunter isn't amusing on its own, but it's her reaction and words after that make him chuckle.

"really? you look like you'd be a fan."

he sniffs, smelling something off only to throw a pokeball in the direction. surprisingly, it hits a stunky.

his second comment was met with a small blush, though it surely couldn’t be seen in the dark. what was on full display, however, was the glare it was in.

”no,” she responded simply, and turned around, walking in the other direction.

she actually wanted the honchkrow above. raising her bat beacon into the air, a noivern was summoned and scooped her up, and then they were off on their pursuit. when she was close enough, DRAGON PULSE blasted it out of the sky.

they swooped down, and she tossed a pokéball.
