Adrian comes out here now and again to remind himself where it all began. The first mistake of many, although that wasn't entirely true. There were many mistakes and hiccups that came before his time as an acolyte of the one named Yveltal. It was simply his greatest mistake.

He stares at a gloved hand, ruminating over his history here while scorning his current affliction, heading deeper into the woods and away from others on instinct. A full moon rises overhead, massive and illuminating.

He comes across a Deino rummaging through the underbrush as he pushes through the forest, driven to see what was left of the scene etched into memory. Everything seems so crisp when the aspect recollects events for him; the identities of people he hardly knew suddenly intrinsic to his thoughts. It overwhelms him slowly.

He tunes it out, and pushes forward, the frigid air of an autumn night leaving his nose a rosy color as puffs of air escape into the expanse of night.

Adrian makes out the silhouette of a Liepard as he too prowls through the murk of the underbrush, this time with much more confidence. The feline's eyes glower at him for a moment before a shiver rolls down its spine, and it shrieks before darting away into the distance.

Yeah, that's right. F#ck off. Or maybe something else had given it a start. The more Adrian pokes around, the more he starts to imagine maybe's and what-could-be's, when he spots an eerie light flitting around in the distance.

Like a bog light it lures him in, leading him along...

Following after the wisp, he begins to lose track of where he's stepping, before he finds himself in a clearing near the edge of the road. The wisp winks out of existence, and all Adrian hears is the sudden flutter of a Pidgeot abandoning its roost at the sight of a trainer.

This was where it happened. Those two Rangers...

Like the stars falling into perfect alignment, something had conspired to bring him here, and yet whatever force it was had deigned to elude him further. He could only reminisce and ponder on the meaning of this encounter.
