His goal was met. Bryan found the answer to saving his sister, however xerneas was too weak right now to go to her. Bryan however could bring her over to the tree! She'd be all better! Able to walk around! She could finally take her Pokémon journey like she always wanted! [break][break]

Xerneas needed to rest so he informed Bryan that he'd take some time to rest in the tree and recover it's strength. "No worries, I'm gonna bring someone special for you to meet! Don't vanish." he said as night began to fall, he had to rush to bring her over. She'd never believe any of this! He was so eager to go he texted Priam quickly to explain what he was gonna do. Little did any of them know though, what would transpire next.

The trip into the tree of life left him battered and exhausted. It’s all he can do to keep moving to meet back up with Chu-e Choi for a quick check in before he headed out to get looked at by a medic. He didn’t really need much having stayed mostly unscathed, miraculously. But he was worried about @rayne and he wanted to catch up with Eris Halla who he’d seen at the start of this mission. The conversation was casual but Mint found his vision blurring and upon blinking, noticed Chu-e was PRAGNENT?! [break][break]

Whilst Rayne hadn't recovered consciousness for a while after passing through the portal—with the loss of the pokémon-like traits, while a majority of his wounds had been sealed, he'd required urgent medical attention with the seal of his punctured neck slowly crumbling, it had been a miracle that the islander had even survived this long. Yet... somehow, whether it was the proximity to the very embodiment of life, the strange powers he had received even if momentarily, or the urgent and desperate care he amongst others had received, Rayne had managed to recover days after the events of the Tree of Life.[break][break]

Rayne had... managed to get away with things mostly in his favour, many parts thanks to the emergency aid, and many parts due to the miraculous wonders of technology and medicine in the world. His arm had been broken fairly thoroughly in the attack, so he'd need it in a cast for a good while, though more miraculous was the small device that now rested implanted in his throat where it had been punctured. A small metallic diamond device, with a centre that glowed as if it were alive—seeming to glow and dim with each breath Rayne took. His very own medal of honour for the suffering he received, he'd learnt that it was there to help him keep breathing, though he wasn't sure just how much or how bad his injuries were that he needed something like this.[break][break]

Yet, nonetheless, with how prudent and insistent he was, despite his injuries—and the injuries sustained by his loyal Dusknoir—he and his pokémon had agreed to continue running the café he'd been so fond of, adamant that it'd be bad business to close up. One arm? Hell, no arms wouldn't have stopped Rayne. He'd made sure to contact acquaintances from the raid, particularly getting a hold of mint frost and Rowan Wrynn—as well as potentially establish a handful of new... lucrative connections—insisting that they come visit and that all was well. For his acquaintances outside of Rocket, he'd come up with some sort of story about... having hurt himself going hiking. He'd need a better excuse for why he was wary around reflections now, however.[break][break]

Admittedly, Rayne had received quite the shock to find out that the Tree of Life looming over Sootopolis had managed to get even bigger than it had been before.

they were on the other side.

she looked around. the tree had grown. the people she cared about were, for the most part, safe and in one piece. from the minior, she looked up, and witnessed her younger brother’s goodbye to suicune. her attention was held firm, as she wondered about the odds. would all the three of the quinns be avatars one day?

while watching, an unsettling feeling began to creep into her mind. walsh. she was prompted to look towards him, an uncanny suspicion suddenly manifesting in her heart.

was he in her head, after all?
