A lone door was all that stood before Greyson and the start of his challenge. A teleprompter turned on nearby as Melody's likeness appeared on the screen with a small peace sign at her face. "Yo! Welcome to the Sootopolis gym Greyson Connors !" she said excitedly. [break][break]

She pulled up his application for her challenge and grinned "A Delphox huh? Interesting choice, what's your guy's history together?" she had asked, tossing the application and the clipboard it was on right behind her as it crashed and knocked over some nearby stuff in the background. [break][break]

She waited for him to finish before she continued. "So to give you a quick lil rundown of the challenge. You will be navigating a couple of rooms as you try to find me in the maze known as my gym! You will only be allowed to use your delphox to help you solve the challenge as your teamwork will be tested, you need to cover each others weaknesses and get creative! Each room will have traps and tricks that will try to either knock you down or tag you! Get knocked down or tagged three times over the obstacle course and you're out!" she explained as she gave a little pause. [break][break]

"Any questions?" she asked wondering if there was anything he may have been confused on.

"Let's see how well you two work together then. Will you sink or swim?" she said giving a little tease at what was to come. [break][break]

Someone actually had questions! Good! That was a good sign! Melody grinned "It's a set amount! But how long each room takes is up to you and how quickly you get through it! The way you get through it is totally up to you and your partner here. But just make sure not to put yourself in actual danger or else I'll pause the challenge and you get a strike." she revealed a rule she had to add due to a recent challenger and her infamous Luxray.

"Very well! Your challenge begins now!" she said raising her hand and snapping her fingers as all of the lights shut off and darkness blanketed the duo. The sound of concrete shifting and grinding against one another can be heard as a rumbling of the ground accompanied it as well. [break][break]

When everything settled down, a soft warm spotlight would turn on revealing the path ahead. The only thing standing between them was a single door ahead. One that when greyson would try to push open he would find is locked. Welp there is their first obstacle. [break][break]

turning the knob proves to be a moot point. locked, like he expected. pointing his gaze onto autumn, he's almost tempted to have her blast the thing to shards. but, that wasn't his style.

The door clicks open, it wasn't even locked. What the fuck Greyson? What did you think this was?! A DUNGEON?! Well, melody couldn't really blame him for thinking THIS door was locked. The door flings open at Autumn's psychic influence and blasts a barrage of light as the two find themselves suddenly in a world full of bright light and color. [break][break]

The room seemed to have an ocean life aesthetic to it but incorporated themes of the internet, maybe after the challenge was over if greyson had asked melody would tell him. the walls had the tips of pins drawn on it to mimic fish, moving clams were decorated all over and the fake decorated coral that had different USB symbols and other internet references on it. Below the platforms Greyson would be able to see the ocean beneath melody's gym where her Pokémon eagerly watched the challengers as that's where she usually kept her water types.[break][break]

The music starts as Greyson enters the room and the platforms began to move erratically, from side to side, up and down, some even spun around! They were even moving at IMPOSSIBLY wild speed, even if he got on it would just fling him right off into the depths below but the door across the room beckons to Greyson and his partner. [break][break]

So only one question remains, what will Greyson and Autumn do?

walking into the next had him... concerned and disoriented. he had no idea what the theme behind this room was beyond 'pure fucking chaos.' "uh," he begins, looking at the platforms as they move erratically, "do you think you could halt one of those so we could use it?"

The platform comes to a stop! It was a good decision to only focus on one as it seemed like if Autumn tried to spread her focus then she'd surely have lost her grip while Greyson was still on it and send him flying. [break][break]

But then again, why even have the platforms move so wildly in the first place? It seemed pretty odd until the culprit made themselves apparent. There was a strange yellow bird who was riding around and jumping on the platforms too. It was a Pom-pom style oricorio, performing a revelation dance that was unleashing electricity causing the motors on the platforms to go wild! [break][break]

She noticed that her performance was being intruded upon by someone stopping one of her platforms. So she decided to rightly rectify this little hiccup in her dance by conjuring a hurricane in front of her and then sending it right out towards the duo.

"do you see that?" the resounding grunt of affirmation tells him that she does, in-fact, see the little honey colored bird. what isn't nearly impossible to miss, however, is the HURRICANE that is sent hurtling their way. his lips form into thin lines.

"don't worry about me - take care of the bird." while he hunkers down, she jumps (or attempts to!) to a nearby platform, braving the harsh winds of the hurricane. instead, she counter-attacks, forming a circle beneath the bird's feet to ignite in a column of MYSTICAL FIRE.

Oricorio was way too into her own dancing to really notice the pyrotechnics occurring beneath her as they shot up from the floor and consumed her. She stood there with her hand in the air once the blazing fire passed and coughed out some soot. She was rightfully pissed off as not only did they intrude on her performance, now they attacked her! [break][break]

She jumped into the air, ending her little electric platform shenanigans temporarily to use mirror move on Autumn and borrow her mystical fire as she aimed it right for greyson herself! One of melody's pokemon below though watched closely, preparing a well placed soak if greyson were to be unable to get out of the way in time. No injuries here!
