But she had started being nice and polite to the other. And that was the kind of role she just continued playing until something better came along.

Ahhh, fathers. What a truly great topic. To ignore, that was. Yes, she still did not care much for her father. Hadn’t seen the man in years. He probably would not recognize her anyway, should they met. Which was the best case scenario for him, too. After all, then he wouldn’t have to live through the disappointment of the daughter he’d put so much hope into joining up with his mortal enemies at least. Not that she necessarily knew that last part. As far as she knew, he was a lame-butt backwater ranger.

“Well, fortunately that is not an issue for me. My family doesn’t know, and they do not care much, I reckon. I barely even call them anymore.” Which was technically true. Still the best kind of true. And while she said that, they moved along – only to come across a downed Pangoro. Her Poipole was floating above it, quite proudly. In an amazing battle that could not really be incorporated naturally here, it had bested the foe. Violet just sighed and threw a Pokeball at it, not really seeing what was happening to a nearby Beedrill. “Anything else of note happening, aside from professional matters? You don’t have to reply if you don’t want, of course.”

Ah, well, maybe that question wasn’t a good one. Summer fell rather quiet. Or maybe she was just busy with her own battle there. After all, on her own end, she’d just caught the Pangoro, but noticed that Poipole had already picked yet another fight, firing Venoshocks at a Vullaby that was just flying about.

The somewhat rotund bird seemed to take that pretty hard and all but fell from the sky – which prompted Violet to toss a ball at it in order to catch it before it hit the ground and got hurt even more. She sighed, then, but did not tell Poipole off. That one was a bit angry in these regards, sure, but it was also rather useful. At the very least, it led her to catch a lot more Pokemon. That was something alright.
