[attr=class,bulk][break]The holidays bring many things with them, and apparently a Delibird is one of those things. Derek lands atop his Charizard after spotting the old bird, realizing just how stubborn it was when he tried lifting the heavy end of the Delibird's sack.

A quick jerk caused the bag to swing and knock Derek onto his backside, making for more than a little frustration. "Tch. Santa isn't a one man army, you know. He's got elves and reindeer to help him!" Given what he'd been told about this bird, however, it came as no surprise when it ignored the sentiment and continued. Step by step, it drew closer to Rustboro at the rate of a slug.

Expecting help with the endeavor, Derek was glad to see it was on it's way. Or at least, he assumed the person headed towards him was the help. Though upon closer inspection, the little girl made him second guess that. But if she was, then maybe it could be used to their advantage.

"You here to help with the Delibird?" Inquiring with the youth, Derek doesn't even really stop to consider that it's not what they're here for. Instead, the ranger is already trying to think of ways to employ the secret weapon he's been sent...

She's missed this feeling, the air brushing past her cheeks and messing with her hair as they fly across the snowy landscape. It's only when they chance upon a crossroads that they're forced to come to a slow, his heels digging into the ground as sleet gathers on the blades of the sled. Which way to Rustboro? If she has to admit, she hasn't really been paying attention to the direction that they've been heading in...

"Well, Rustboro, but..." As he looked between the girl and the santa bird, the rate of movement was so slow the pokemon wouldn't make it before nightfall.

"The sack of presents is for all the kids there. I'm trying to expedit the process, but the Delibird seems to only work alone." Or, at the very least, it wanted to stop another grown-up from taking the credit. In all truth, it wanted to know that every smile on the children's face were for it, and it alone. Not for some young silver-haired punk thinking that faster was better to share in their glory.

Kneeling down, Derek figures his hunch is worth a shot. Assuming the girl is willing to help, anyway. "It won't listen to me, but maybe you could try?"

From the sleigh, Reiner can't help but snort, rolling his shoulders back as he prepares himself to take the heft of whatever ideas might be cooking up in his charge's mind.

"You're heading to Rustboro, and I'm heading to Rustboro! You wanna go together? I don't really have a magical sleigh pulled by flying Stantlers but Reiner will try his best for sure!" Looking back to the Luxray, Eris hums in thought for a moment, then pulls out several pokeballs. From them come an array of other pokemon, a rather excitable Zeraora, fluffy Arcanine and a restless Ponyta. A strange look crosses Reiner's face, his eyes narrowed to slits as he watches Eris tag Mitts, Arcana and Barley to the reins but other than that, he remains silent as he paws the snow.

It must've had nothing to give the child to make it go away, perhaps making the act of helping save Christmas the gift itself. Though it strictly guards it's holiday loot, the pokemon steps towards the little girl's sleigh, curious of what it was like to ride Santa style. If it knew what seatbelts were, it just might wish it had one...

'That's a lot of pokemon. Have they done this before? Are they in sync?' The last thing Derek wanted to see was some of them being dragged along in the snow.

"So you know Locke?" Small world, and all. Though he thought of them as something like a kid, in contrast to Eris, that definitely wasn't the case. He just looked young, like he might have a case of baby face. "I didn't realize that was his profession. Good to know." One never knew when that might come in handy.

"Well, I am ready when you are. Me and my pokemon will hang back a bit...y'know, in case any of the gifts fall out or something." Releasing a Corviknight from it's device, Derek takes to the sky on his pokemon, granting him a bird's-eye view of the sleigh and everything around them. A little higher, and he could make out Rustboro clear as day. 'Looks like we should be done in no time.'

"Yeah, I do! He's one of my bestest friends! I think..." She only dares to say such things just because they've shared one too many strange experiences together. A person doesn't go through that without forming a friendship with the others stuck in the same situation, right? Maybe? She doesn't really know how such things work. "And I think he's one of Santa's secret helpers cos everytime I try to find his office, no one knows where it is! It's like the workshop at the North Pole, you see?"

A sharp bark from Reiner prompts the group to start pulling, each heaving grievances of their own at the sheer weight to be pulled along. Still, it's nothing too heavy that it can't be moved, especially on a snowy lane such as this. A little bit of momentum sets the whole sleigh into action, guided by the ever mindful Luxray. Not even the slightest bit of deviation will be allowed, any attempts at detours by a certain Zeraora earning itself a chilly glare and a growl.

Nothing would stop them from saving Christmas this year!

Of course, this assumed that the Delibird didn't just steal the toys and give them away. It always stoked his curiosity to think of where they got their presents. As far as he could recall, there weren't any legendary pokemon that fit the bill for a Santa type, or that could make toys. So it had to be theft...right?

Regardless, it seemed the kids in Rustboro would be getting their gifts very soon.

In fact, she hadn't really planned to ask for anything for helping to complete the deliveries. All she wanted to do was to make sure that no other kid would be made unhappy on a sacred childhood holiday like this. No lack of crackling fireplaces, sweet carols or wrapped presents waiting in the morning... Everything that she'd missed out on all these years, she'd be sure to pass them on.
