When a rogue Jynx drew close, Derek couldn't help but make a face. But when it got closer to Jonesy, who moved away from where he was hiding with the lure in sight...well, he was very surprised.

Rather than attack, the Jynx tried to kiss poor Jonesy, sending him running. When Derek burst into laughter, the pokemon grew embarrassed, and then angry. But rather than fight, it simply stormed off, likely looking for someone or something else to smooch.

"Alright, stay close this time." The Sobble nods in agreement, tucked underneath the trainers arm as they waited behind cover for something else to wander into their lure...

The pokemon they encounter next goes widely ignored, though it eventually turns and nods to where the two of them are before leaving. Seems the psychic type was quite versed with telepathy. Fortunately it didn't aim to cause them harm, and instead moved along in search of...food? Water? Or maybe one of it's own.

Jonesy seems to get antsy sitting around waiting for what seemed like nothing. Derek pats him on the head and reassures the pokemon they wouldn't be out here forever. "We'll go home after the next one, alright? So settle down and be quiet." An off-hand fetched one of the snacks Derek had in his pocket, offering it to the little lizard to keep it preoccupied while the sounds of something else approaching drew closer...

Quickly making way towards a larger opening, Derek returns Jonesy to his ball before releasing Apollo, who brought the two of them soaring skyward.
