Now that he had a lead on the possible whereabouts of a friend of his who he knew had left the region to do some business elsewhere that was one less thing to keep bothering him off his shoulders.

Not until he got to the next table did he belatedly realize who he was going to meet with next, and he let out a guffaw.

‘This is messed up, wouldn’t you say so?’

Either way…

He swiped a couple of the Shalour Sables off the dish at the next table and ate them in short order while waiting for the other to show up.

Oh, and how awkward the question was, coming from the younger man!

Much as he wanted to ask the other about the white—being that he’d seen in the skies in the ‘other world’, well, their current location wasn’t exactly plausible to discuss shit like this.

Maybe in a few days they would be able to talk more freely about this, but until then…

At the mention of two of his favorite troublemakers being around the area, the beginnings of a shit-eating grin spread across his face.

“Wonder how long it’d take before I ran into them,” he mused.

He was going to take a good guess that at least one of them was probably secretly lamenting the fact that there were no hard alcoholic drinks to be had.

“Were they doing alright when you met up with them earlier? After… you know, what happened recently.”

Should the other be astute enough to pick up on what he meant, he would definitely understand what ‘that’ was.

(NDAs really made talking about certain shit difficult sometimes.)

To be fair…

How did he end up there mere hours after their sojourn? Simple: he’d been spending more time with lumia peura, because the little flower shop keeper was… he could tell when family was down, and she needed the company.

It sure beat going all the way back to Verdanturf and having existential nightmares afterward.

“Oh, she does?” he quipped at the mention of Sky’s ‘healing touch’. “Might ask her about it then.”

He was about to ask about Angelo but the bell had rung, signaling the current end of things—

“See you out on the field.”

Little did he know he was going to be meeting the other a lot sooner than that.

"Heard about it, but thats about it," he comments as its been some months since then. Though he does tilt his head slightly with a raised brow when he didn't seem to know about skyler dross's healing touch. [break][break]

"Yeah, did you not read the files of everyone before hand?" as it did have record of everyone. Though the head Ranger probably seemed a lot more stressed about it all than he was. Maybe because the other was an official member rather than just just being a note on the league's radar. [break][break]

He gives a simple nod about seeing the other out in the field when the bell rings. Sighing in relief at an easy set of dates for the most mart with the exception of Rowan Wrynn. Hopefully they can keep going so as eaisly.
