With the dates over, and thanks to a certain Gym Leader, Tempest Quinn, Razz has learned some pretty heavy information: that chu-e was dead. And while his growth has been stunted and his feeling on death far from normal he knows that this would hit someone else a lot harder. Namely Eris Halla, poor kid already lost one set of parents and while he would never see Chu-e Choi as a parent to her. This was more than what he felt. [break][break]

He still thinks he’s a horrible person to go to about death but he’s reached out now and now he was on route to work making a quick stop to in the grassy plains of Route 117 as instructed by the flower people. Razz checked his phone to see the time as he waited.

But she has to, since she's already agreed to tag along with Raziel Beckett on whatever duties he might have for the day. It's an excuse to get out of the house, to stop hearing the scratching of claws and constant meowing that reminds her of a void that can't be filled. It's a chance to grab some fresh air, her head muddled with the lingering scent of liquor bottles and ready-made meals.

More than anything, it's a hope that she'll be able to pull her head out of this pool of thoughts before she drowns.

And yet, she's still unable to hide her tiredness when they reach Route 117, her head laying comfortably upon Reiner's mane as he trudges along the uneven path. He's warm and it almost makes her wish she had gone to the Rocket headquarters instead to take a nap in Martín del Mar' office. But it'd be rude to stand Razz up, especially after all the effort he'd probably put in to reach out to her.

"Sorry we're late." She murmurs, lifting her head a little to greet the man. "There was a mess to cleanup before I left the house."

Salem gives a noise to alert the ranger of the luxray coming. And on top of him of course Eris and for a moment he thinks that maybe this was a bad idea. However it felt to late to go back on it now as he gives a small smile and a wave to her. [Break][break]

"It's fine I've heard uh..." he pauses as he seems unsure how direct to be about this. He looks to Sal for guidance but the car seems to think he'll be fine. "That you've been having a rough time to put it lightly"

Though he wonders if it would help her confront her feelings better. He knows the burning in his mouth has helped him confront a few things he hasn't realized. [break][break]

He is silent for a moment as he tries to think, but unlike on their date his brain is charged and clear. "I heard about Choi so.... yeah" [break][break]

Now that was a surprise, seeing that one of their Elite Four would do such a thing. Though then he thinks back toward the Regirock and how both Laurence Anderson and Katherine Fairburne tried attacking Adrian Malcolm for a rock. However the problem here is in the end MATIAS SILPH killed a Beast of Rocket. So he doubts any repercussions would be taken no matter how it started. [break][break]

"They do, I know that more than anyone," he comments as he thinks of not only himself but his own family, particularly of Asriel Pryde and it hurts. "And I'm sorry that it happened, you've been through a lot Eris and I know its going to hurt, for now all you can really do is take it one day at a time," he paused for a moment as he takes a moment to think. Razz offers a rare genuine smile for once rather than his usual half assed ones, "You know I have a job near here, I think it involved some Pangoro I think it would be fun if you joined me"

She tries to take a swing at his shoulder, but misses by a few inches, earning herself a small growl from Reiner as he carefully entwines his tail with her left arm.

"What would you know about how it feels? You chose to break away from your family... I..." She swallows a dry breath and buries her hands in Reiner's mane, seeking comfort as she looks away. "I never got a choice... I never got to fight back..."

Gone before she was ever ready to let go, gone without them ever seeing just how far she could go. She's scared but pretending not to be, trying not to shake when all she wants to do is crumble and cry. Does she even want to fight back? She's felt that rush of sheer madness, remembers the pain that had immediately dug in the moment the adrenaline wore off, lives the nightmare where her mistakes are starting to take a toll.

He doesn't flitch as she attempts to strike at him. Just raising a brow at her and for now just figuring her emotions just flustered her. Though he does take a hurt huff at her words about how it was easy for him. Clearly she doesn't understand his own hardships and it hurts that the only person he's been able to semi-talk to about his issues seems to just claim it was nothing. [break][break]

"It wasn't that easy Eris, I wanted to break away but not from family, despite all the bullshit they put me through at the time they still meant a lot to me..." he pauses to swallow the pain as he gives a glance at Salem, the cat showing no shame in his part of things. "I had no choice but to fight and run and... leave everything behind," it just so happened that he had to fight one of the people he didn't want to leave despite the abuse.[break][break]

"I just seem more put together because I've had almost 4 years to rationalize," not that he did a very good job at it. He can't help but wonder why her old place is full of alcohol but this wasn't the time to ask. [break][break]

"You really don't have to, you actually have people you can go to, as I said my place is always open for when you need an escape," he tries again on offering her the thing he never had. "You're not alone as you think you are"

The way she phrases that can't help but make him think of himself as a kid where he used to think the exact same. That his pop was protecting him from worse and while he would like to think that Gavin would help Eris he doesn't know how much power has gotten to him. [break][break]

"Well I can't say much about this Rocket, and I can understand being scared of him but tell you what as long as you're with me I'll deal with him, and when you're not with me and you're going off on your own to do whatever," Razz grabs a pokeball that's specially made, decorated red and black and he opens it up to show off his Ultra Beast. "I'll lend this guy to you to protect you." as if on cue the Buzzwole flexes to show off before posing like superman from some comicbook.
