something about this situation didn’t settle well with Lex. The Mega Banette was acting on its own according, and any mega evolution attached to the energy provided by a trainer’s mega accessory should start to be wearing off by now. Despite being CONFUSED the Mega Banette was still going strong.

“Hrm.” it was more of a growl then anything as she clenched her teeth and narrowed her gaze towards the pokemon. It missed the mark on its SHADOW SNEAK which further frustrated the creature. ICE BEAM was much more accurate, striking the pokemon in its chest and poshing it back.

Crystalline ice matted the pokemon’s marionette body. Its long arms attempted to dust it off as it stumbled to the right.

“Morgana, it’s time to finish this, Hex,” With Confusion on board and it being a ghost-type move, Hex should certainly knock the pokemon on its ass – Mega evolved or not.

Ethereal energy spilt from Misdreavus, swirling into a malicious cloud that rushed towards the Bannete. Consumed by the ghostly aura, the Bannete screamed. The high-pitched shriek threatened to burst Lex’s ear drums. Her hands came up to cover them protectively out of instinct. It was maybe one of the most unpleasant sounds she’s ever heard.

“Finish it off,” she glanced towards Nina and he Vulpix when the scream faded. The Mega pokemon seemed even more dazed from before, weak, teetering in place. All it needed was a gentle wind to push it over the edge and collapse.

A sparkling, crystalized beam shot from the small Vulpix with purpose. The impressive ICE BEAM was enough to take the ghost out. Even the energy to scream left it as it fell towards the rotting wood floor of the great room they stood. The primal energy that fueled its mega-evolution dissipated in dark whisps, crawling across the floor like the roots of a tree before melting into nothing.

The pokemon itself seem to deflate. The fiery tips of the arms faded back into black and the Mega-Banette reverted back to its original form. The ethereal chill in the air faded. Morgana crept closer to inspect the fainted pokemon, “Well done, Nina” Lex complimented, moving forward to also inspect the pokemon.

Morgana turned, clutching a small black stone in her hands. She dropped the treasure into Lex’s palm. The Beast inspected it with scrutiny, “It’s a mega stone, alright,” she turned her amber gaze back up the room, “No trainer though . . . interesting,” she tucked the stone into her pocket, “Perhaps Rocket will find some use for this.”

“Definitely weird,” Lex agrees, nodding along as she tucks the gem stone into her pocket. She stands to her full height as Morgana drifts around her head, peering from behind red lockes as she hears her name from Nina’s lips.

“I’ll send her through again but, that was likely it. All the commotion probably scared any lone stragglers off,” a wave of her hand dismisses Morgana to resume her search. The Beast’s gaze shifts over to Nina and her Vulpix, “You take off earlier – I’ll let you write the mission report for this,” her lips curl into a wicked smile, her tone suggesting it’s a favor o Nina when really she just wants to push the paperwork off to a subordinate so she didn’t have to do it.
