There's no answer, which is expected. Luka still huffs a quiet sigh anyways.[break][break]
The two Pokemon that had emerged with her from a distorted rift stay near her side as they sit inside another. Rather than running, Luka has chosen this time around to stay put, seated near the patch of Shaderoot carrots she had grown long ago with Izydor Baranowski. Despite not being fond of ghosts, she had grown a certain attachment for the place during her time gardening here, mostly because her Blaziken seems to find it so important.[break][break]
Now he stands watch, a guardian of burial plots and gravestones should anything go awry.[break][break]
Luka continues to give Helios some space as she sits with her Zorua, petting the soft wisp of white fur that trails above her head. At her side, her strange Lilligant chirrups and twirls, not frightened of the creatures that she sees within the rift but certainly far from calm. It seems that as far as investigating this strange occurrence goes, bringing the Pokemon that have been changed by the rift doesn't answer any questions. But at least while she's here, Luka can make sure no harm befalls her little patch of garden and the holy ground that Helios covets so much.[break][break]

It happened again.

As soon as the sky darkened above Mt. Pyre, Eva was hot on the trail, racing towards the anomaly with the head-strong determination she’s known for. The wind whipped wildly around them as the duo again entered the chaos of the Space-Time Distortion. A familiar weight of lost time and shift worlds fell upon her shoulders. The invisible strain was exhausting, and the doctor found herself struggling against the unnatural turmoil.

“Alright, fan out! See what you can collect! More samples the better!” the doctor dispatches a crew of pokemon, the Gardevoir being the centerpiece. She has the most experience translating the shifting energies around them.

One pokemon stumbled only a few steps into the distortion, “Goodra! Are you ok?” Eva rushed to the dragon’s side, medical pack in hand and ready to supply what she needed. Before the Doctor could even examine her, the Goodra was consumed by an array of bright lights. It resembled evolution, but didn’t quite fit what Eva would have expected.

It happened again, just like with MATIAS SILPH’s Electrode.

Goodra seemed to shift into something Eva didn’t recognize. She certainly resembles her old self, but with striking new qualities. Wow, this shit is gnarly!

Without hesitation, Eva returned the now dual-type back to her pokeball. Naturally, she’d examine the pokemon later. Goodra now earned herself a place high on the doctor’s priority list, “C’mon! Hurry up! We gotta get outta here!” despite her best efforts, her voice was drowned out in the thunder and wind that tormented the area. It would be an hour before she found and collected the samples she needed. Curiously, one of those sample resembles a certain RED SHARD she’s seen multiple times. The shard deserved her immediate attention and she hurried back to the lab to examine it.

the waves around mt pyre were something fierce, perhaps a sort of effect from the time distortion as it enveloped the mountain? kazimir was one of the few who decided to get a closer look but actually getting onto the island was proving to be difficult as not only was he fighting off the currents on his samurott but also small shards kept raining down around him forcing him to shield his eyes. he was lucky enough one landed in the palm of his hands as he his his face in the back of his pokemon's neck as they moved closer to the mountain's shore.

as they did however they noticed a strange fish that was jumping out of the water before it suddenly erupted out of the water right in front of their face. it looked like a basculin but its colors were off somehow. without much save for instinct the samurott slapped it around with its shell blades leaving it flopping around in teh water and kaz felt a little bad about how his partner was treating this thing. "hey don't worry, come with us and we'll heal ya up real nice!" he said as he took out a ball and tossed it at the strange basculin to bring it home once he got out of this distortion.

It was embarrassing to admit he'd missed the last three of these things. Shame on him as Head Ranger.

Through happenstance, bad timing and low spirits he was only just now making the trek in time to find one of these distortions before it closed. Lucky for him hoenn's fire mountain wasn't too far from it's memorial mountain.

With his fireteam in tow he made a teleporting transition to the location in question.

Upon arrival though, Mt. Pyre was a mess as trainers went about their interactions with the persisting subspaces.

Sénon himself having grown a layer of caution concerning all things dimensional after his else-world misadventure and the resulting crack in his skull.

Even approaching the dimensional shift caused the Head Ranger to stop short in his tracks.

A bolder trainer or two, seemingly those who had dealt with these space-rifts before, waded ahead while Sénon hung back.

He let his pokémon move in closer to the rift to satisfy their curiosity fighting the anxiety that came when some of them fully entered the space.

no sooner than they stepped in would a debilitating light begin to emit from one of them; Quilava.

It served him right; a mass majority of his pokémon were a mere sneeze away from evolution with the Head Ranger having to constantly break their pending evolution.

This time, it was too much, too fast.

As Sénon threw his hands up to protect his eyes from the light, Heatran moved on guard to protect the Red(Headed) Ranger.

Through his fingers he could see the profile of Quilava expanding.

When it was all said and done, the others were just as shocked as Sénon himself was.

Quilava evolved into Hisuian Typlosion!
