"yeah, it was crazy at the time." his thoughts dwell back to the event, but he shakes them off, refusing to turn today into a somber one. "maybe you'll get the next one though? i'm sure if you guys wanted to get coverage 'on-site' we figure that out with the league." he was thinking out loud now, knuckles rapping at his chin.

her bewilderment confuses him for a second, still lost in his previous thought. taking a moment to shift his gears, he processes what he said, and her reaction to it. then, he laughs.

"i guess i am really under selling it, huh?" another chuckle escapes, but dies off quickly; gone with the breeze of an opened door. "sorry, i'm kind-of used to people recognizing me already as the gym leader. i dunno, it feels nice kind-of starting off as just 'greyson' to someone."

he was happy she understood, even if he felt ridiculous saying it. he wasn't a celebrity, or an icon, but people rarely wanted to speak to 'greyson connors the boy who loves to garden' so, not having to put on his work mask for once really gave him comfort.

"uh," the words catch in his throat as if caught by a net of thick honey, "yeah? i mean, yeah, of course you can. uhm, did you want my personal or professional? or both?"

something inside of him sparks, lingering to the fleet flames of... something. something he didn't want to put a name too. he wouldn't let himself get carried away again.
