Eva wouldn’t argue that pokemon couldn’t talk. She “spoke” with her pokemon all the time. Perhaps that was the wrong way to phrase “communicate easily”. The Hatenna, for example, was certainly trying to tell them something, but it could easily be misinterpreted. Which seemed to be the case when it fired off a PSYBEAM.

All the ruckus scared away a nearby Sigilyph and disappeared back into the brush.

“I definitely have some small but mighty pokemon!” she smiles, thinking of the several little babies she has tucked away in the nursery at home with her Indeedee. After patting the Raichu on the head, she returned the mouse to replace it with a Blissey. Althea cooed happily, bobbing her arms up and down as she waddled along after Eva. The Blissey wasn’t meant to be an example of a small but mighty pokemon. Eva just needs to use Egg Bomb for an endeavor so out comes Blissey!

“Where are you originally from, Andrea?”

That Blissey looked like she was more than just a defensive wall, her Egg Bomb attack being a sight to behold. "So cooool!" The dragon-costumed girl remarked in awe. The rampant bombarding that ensued could be seen as a desecration of a bunch of Pokémon's resting places, had their tombstones not been widely spaced apart.

Although no graves were devastated by Blissey's act of terrorism, it certainly was enough to scare a certain wild Pokémon away that may have been a Gothitelle or a Doublade. Can you really fault anyone for being unable to tell those two nearly identical-looking creatures apart?

"I'm from Fallarbor Town. My Mom and Dad are Breeders. They own a ranch and everything." Andrea explained, displaying a recent picture of said ranch on her Rotom Phone, where one could see a bunch of Pokémon grazing on the pastures. A fine 'exhibit', one could call it. "Did you know that Fallarbor is situated near the historical land of the Draconid people? No relation, though. Our ancestors were actually from Kalos."

“I’ve never been to Fallarbor,” Eva muses once she is done speaking, “I did grow up on a ranch though! My parents were also breeders. But I’m from Pallet Town, Kanto,” yeah, Kanto, things are rough over there.

The bouncing Spoink leaps higher into the air and fires off a POWER GEM that glances off a near by Doublade. The swords waver, and as the list to the left, Eva tosses a pokeball over to capture the ghost-type.

“I loved growing up on a ranch, I was outside all the time,” and now she’s constantly stuck in a lab.

Well, what were the odds? Andrea had just met a fellow farm girl, one who shared her fondness for playing outdoors to boot. "Me too! My parents had a hard time keeping me in the house!" The dragon-hooded girl responded with a wistful chuckle. It felt good to reminisce about her childhood.

The aforementioned reminiscing was interrupted by the arrival of a wild Gengar, who Licked the draconic cosplayer from behind, giving her the chills. "Eek! That was rude!" She had to fight rudeness with rudeness, sending out a nearly identical-looking Gengar of her own. "Gigi, use Shadow Ball!"

Andrea's Gengar made quick work of its fellow Ghost type, allowing the girl to continue the convo as if nothing had happened. "Anyway, why did you wanna know where I'm from?" She asked the good doctor.

Eva’s laugh in response is light-hearted and airy, sharing a familiar sentiment, “Yeah, my dad did too,” her and ollie morales use to run amuck across the ranch, racing Ponyta and getting lost. Their older siblings use to have to come chase them down and drag them back to the house for supper.

“Whoa!” Eva was also caught off guard by the Gengar when it LICKED Andrea. The girl was quick to retaliate with a Shadow Ball from her own Gengar. How fitting. It scared off the other quick enough, leaving behind another wild pokemon: Sloking.

Eva smiled brightly, a Sloking had been on her list of pokemon for a while! “Power Gem!” she commanded the little Spoink. Tupig hopped forward happily and one he reached the top of his bounce, fired off a rocky beam of power that smacked the unsuspecting Sloking in the side. Eva followed up with a pokeball to collect the pokemon.

Once it was taken care of, Eva shrugged her shoulders and moved to retrieve it, “I was just curious, making small talk, ya know?” Eva is a people person and enjoyed hearing other people’s stories, “I was hoping to find some Unown while out here,” she admits with a sigh. After plucking the pokeball off the ground she rises to take a look around, “Guess we haven’t been too lucky, huh?”

Shortly after the Gengar versus Gengar showdown, Eva was involved in a skirmish of her own against a wild Slowking that got added to her collection. "Nice catch!" Andrea remarked, giving her a hearty thumbs up.

As the good doctor explained the primary reason behind her outing, the young cosplayer was taken aback. "Unown?! The one that looks like a doodle with a large eyeball? We saw one of them at the Fleur Tea Atelier! A beautiful yet mysterious white-haired lady used it, who said that Hoenn was doomed!"

Before the dragon-hooded girl could elaborate further, a wild Girafarig jumped out of the tall grass, Astonishing her ghostly companion. The Gengar responded with a Shadow Ball that seemingly had no effect on the strange giraffe. "That won't work, Gigi. She's part Normal type. Go for a Confuse Ray!" Andrea ordered.

Gigi nodded, shooting a sinister orb of light towards the Girafarig. Highly disoriented, the giraffe started banging its head against one of the tombstones, prompting Andrea to throw a Pokéball in order to at least spare it the pain of hurting itself in its confusion.

Eva nods along to Andrea enthusiastic explanation, “Uhh yeah! Those ones!” it seems her group wasn’t the only one that had a strange encounter during their tea room adventure, “Yeah, we got the same message,” she sighs, her tone taking a bit of a dark turn as she recalls the disturbing prophecy.

“I’ve been collecting them and studying them for quite some time now,” she admits once she as captured the Girafarig, “They were popping long before the tea rooms,” she admits as she watches a Dhelmise disappear back into the phantom realm as they approach.

"Oh, that's neat! I didn't know there were other people who took the Tiered Tea Room challenge!" Andrea enthusiastically remarked, while Gigi flew in circles over her head. Unown were mysterious, but their true nature had yet to reveal itself to the young cosplayer.

She pondered deeply about what that ominous warning could have meant, when her eyes fell upon a wild Kadabra that was walking along the mountain path, minding its own business. "Oooh, a Kadabra! Hi there!" She waved at the Psi Pokémon, who was naturally wary of the human, but didn't seem all that hostile. Upon noticing the size of its whiskers, Andrea frowned. "Aww, it's a female one. The legend says that a boy once turned into a Kadabra in his sleep. A girl Kadabra is probably just a regular old Kadabra..." She mused, losing any interest in capturing that one.

The eccentric girl circled back to the subject that truly interested her. "Speaking of human-Pokémon metamorphosis again, what's your stance on that? As a scientist of course!" Andrea asked the good Dr. Morales. "If there's so much folklore about it, surely there must be some degree of truth." She added, her Gengar staring at her with a puzzled expression.

The doctor also watches the Kadarbra waddle by, seemingly unphased by their presence here. Her lips do purse as she thinks about Andrea’s question. A Kirlia dances by on graceful, slender legs.

“Folklore does hold some truth,” she admits, “But that truth is usually not well-founded. People love to speculate about the unknown and fascinating and tend to ignore the obvious explanations for something,” she begins, pushing forward along the path. It’s a concept she battles tirelessly in her field, “For instance, someone may have watched a pokemon shift into a human, but what they failed to notice is that the pokemon was likely a ditto or a Zorua,” She glances back at Andrea, feeling kind of bad for admitting she doesn’t think the girl’s dreams could come true, “I don’t think it’s possible but . . “ she decides to add a little hope to it. Nothing in science is certain, “We haven’t discovered everything just yet,” she ends it with a hopeful smile. Eva admired the woman’s enthusiasm and determination. She’d hate to be the reason that disappeared.
