Yes, he knew he wasn't making any sense. He should've been overjoyed to see Jayden again, regardless of what status he was in. But he can't help but feel a little bitter about how he'd left. Especially when he'd simply found out from some other grunt, not even Jayden himself. He'd said it hadn't mattered, that there was a probably a reason for that but he'd ended up crying about it anyway. [break][break]

It just sucked. It's humiliating. He just wanted to be fine and for his friend to be fine. Not whatever this was. He sniffed as Jayden pat his head again, ruffling whatever mess was left after running around his apartment for Jayden the past twenty minutes. "T-Then...why d-didn't you call?" His voice shook, and his words are soft. His eyelids are starting to feel raw from wiping, but he did it anyway squeezing them shut to keep fresh tears from blurring his vision as he looked back at Jayden. "I-I worried...a-and nobody- nobody knew what you were doing..." Or at the very least, they wouldn't tell him what Jayden was doing.

At this point, he was more bewildered than upset, scrunched up eyes widening and mouth hanging open in protest. "O-Of course I did!" Mint screeched. "I called- I called A LOT. No answer." The frequency had ebbed and flowed just like his mood swings, but all the same he had the call logs to prove it.

"I-I don't remember...exactly...just the person who told me y-you left...and-" The mention of Kanto only seemed to make him more upset. "That's worse-" he began before cutting himself off as he felt a shaky sob begin to rear its ugly head. Instead, he swallowed hard choking back mucus trying to come down from his wailing episode. He felt so childish. Especially when he should've been the one comforting Jayden since he'd been stabbed and all.

[break][break] after all, when he had thought rocket disbanded, he had gone off the grid with Cillian Quinn as well. and that had mostly been due to the fact that he'd thought he'd been abandoned.

That made sense. It didn't bother him any less. He'd been in the dark for months after all, oscillating between thinking Jayden had just ghosted him and Jayden was just being Jayden. Even now- [break][break]

"I would've if I'd known you were leaving!" he protested. Calling wasn't his first choice when he saw the guy frequently, but if he'd known he was leaving... He didn't even know what Kanto was like. Probably shit. [break][break]

At least talking about it now was calming him down a bit. Another ruffle of the hair and he felt a soft tingle on his neck as Jayden scratched something before letting out a small sigh. He nodded at him before replying, "I'm happy you're back too." He lay his head on his friends chest, careful not to wrap his arms around the stab wound, and squeezed tightly. "Call me. And text me! Whenever you want to." he said as he did, voice muffled a bit. He didn't look up not wanting Jayden to see his frustrated pouting. He couldn't be mad at someone this dumb. But at least he cared. Mint could accept that.

Mint is quiet, done giving his friend grief...for now. He'd lost a lot of blood. He should rest. That's why he and his pokemon had tried to get him comfortable on the bed after all. Especially when he seemed stable now. "You know now. So..." he trailed off, allowing Jayden to stroke his hair. [break][break]

Again probably something he should've been doing for Jayden, not the other way around. "That's fine." his voice gradually softened, dropping in volume as Mint dozed off. "S'long as you try, I'm ok with that." Perhaps the loud crying had taken more out of him than he'd thought. He'd get up in a minute. In a few minutes. Maybe.
