his house in sootopolis was still fully in-tact, but that was practically the only thing that laid the same about the city that he'd previously decided to structure his base in. there were many things different — least of all these things, the tree of life that had somehow grown in size since he'd seen it last — but also the new casino that was being constructed in the faraway ivory cliffs at the edge of town.

[break][break] he walked through the streets, his alolan ratatta leading the way. the rat pokemon bounded up the steps, chattering softly, eager to make contact with his previous owner.

[break][break] that was right. Killian Decker was the owner of the newly-constructed establishment, or at least that was what rocket intel said.

Killian Decker doesn't look the same as he's last seen him. but maybe it's just a trick of the light. jayden can't be sure just yet.

[break][break] jayden steps forward into the space, closing the door behind him. his hands swing upwards, lifting the bag into view so the superior can see it. "i brought a bottle of wine. a congratulations for your new establishment," he says, dipping his head.

[break][break] at the other's words, he nods. "that's correct. enforce polett brought me back." not that, of course, jayden had needed the extra detail. he thinks of the intimidating Calem Pollet . perhaps that hadn't just been a security measure.

[break][break] But he did. Rocket culture demanded it so. That being said, however, he didn't express any of these thoughts to Killian Decker ; he was sure the admin was more than aware of the hierarchy within the organization and how Jayden was blood-bound to it.

[break][break] Instead, he walks over to the table and sets it down. As he does so, his eyes graze the wall of books that are nearby; curiosity begs him forward, but obligation demanded that he give his full attention to his superior. He turned.

[break][break] "Nothing in particular. There was a shortage — " A pause. He thinks of the dead bodies that littered the Kanto soil, the crimes committed. Nothing new. "And I was called to maintain it." His head tilts. "How about Hoenn?"
