Melody hadn't seen mars in quite some time so she had invited him to meet up with her at meteor falls once more, the site of their first meeting. [break][break]

She had wanted to catch some Pokémon, and mars was pretty fun to talk with last time so she sent him a quick text to join her to see if he was interested. She knew he was really busy all the time thanks to his POG bank duties but she held out hope that he'd eventually join her.

The day Mars had first met Melody Miro at the ever touristic Meteor Falls all those months ago, he had been hunting for Unown. No surprise there, no?

Of course, much had changed since then; much had been discovered and much had happened to the region itself. But, as if a small comfort in this chaotic and ever-changing world, Meteor Falls always seems to remain the same.

It’s a place he has become all too familiar with over the past few months, to the point that when going to meet Melody at the cavern, he feels no apprehensions in TELEPORTING into it from outside. There’s a Gallade next to him, but it had not been the pokémon’s move that allowed him to appear near the cavern’s entrance – Perseus is there mainly to keep appearance, but also to help him test his hand at teleporting with company. So far, short distances and clearly visualising his target seem to work much better when it comes to that sort of thing.

"Mars!" she said running up to him and giving him a big squeeze. When he regarded her as cute she punched him on the arm as retaliation for his teasing. "Thanks though, it's pretty different from being a gym leader." she says awkwardly. [break][break]

"I have a lot more time to pour into my music now that im not taking gym challenges everyday." she tells him "But it's more stressful as im basically like...an elite soldier." she says as the words felt foreign as they're spoken. A drizzile decided to ambush their conversation, revealing itself from it's invisibility. Primarina decided to use a well timed hydro cannon and slammed the little lizard into the wall from it's force. "Good shot!" she said as she tossed a pokeball towards it.

The sound of his laughter rises along with that of the waterfalls when she decides to punch him, taking it as amusing simply because of the fact that they’re friends. It’s not the sort of thing Mars would have easily allowed of most people, but with Melody he doesn’t really mind it.

"Ew. Dont say it like that, you make it sound gross." she said visibly cringing at how he called her an elite. [break][break]
Next a panpour made it's appearance known, Melody looked over to mars. "Well, more time for music but less ideas so far." she says in a worried tone as Primarina needed to recharge so melody sent out her Mr Rime. "Handle it mr rime!" she calls out as Mr rime placed both hands on his cane and hits it with the floor as patches of ice began to spread out. A freezey dry lands it's mark on panpour as the pokemon becomes frozen solid. "Holy shit over kill much? Jeez dude." she said before she spoke too soon. [break][break]

Panpour broke out a lunged towards Melody, ready to use bite before mr rime used psychic to hold the pokemon in mid air and then launched it at the wall. "Sorry Mr rime." she said realizing he was right to use such force as she pulled out a pokeball to capture the monke. [break][break]

"Only one I have planned is a secret one so you're just gonna have to sit tight like everyone else." she says placing a finger in front of her lips

The thought of Melody Miro not being inspired to compose is a strange one to him, since undeniably so, music is a huge part of who she is. Then again, it’s also not like he’s at all familiar with her process, and ‘writer’s block’ could be a common thing in her songwriting process. Still, he asks about it casually:

It’s easy to be pulled away from the conversation when pokémon battle before them, and Mars quietly watches the way Melody’s Mr Rime deals with the Panpour before turning his attention back to her. He chuckles then.

He’s kidding, of course, though then again, considering his recent life experiences, it’s a bit of a grim joke.
