She follows the line of his gesture to the two levitating Steel-types. The air in the corridor became churned by their movements, resulting in a dizzying wub-wub-wub base sound tickling the inner portion of her ears.

“Oh, brilliant,” she says, voice flat, releasing Eulalia, who dashed towards the lurking wild Pokemon and quickly brought them down. The Klinklang limped away, dragging its gears with a horrid grinding noise; the Magneton was not so lucky.

“Looking for anything in particular?” Cyg asked, turning her attention back to the handsome stranger. It wasn’t out of any direct intrusiveness, but merely boredom.

but a minun will have to suffice for now. a look to his kabutops sends the rock-type forward in an AQUA JET. it smacks into the eletric-type and is quick to follow up with a NIGHT SLASH, damaging it enough to capture it.

Cyg’s eyes do widen when Matias confides in her he’s close to finishing his Pokedex. “I would say that’s impressive for a lifetime, let alone 14 years,” she says, a hint of awe catching in her voice.

She hums a thoughtful note as the Kabutops does it’s job, making quick work of the blue-eared bunny; how the fuck did it even get down here? “How many of your Pokemon would you say you actively use?” she asks, thinking on her own collection of crazies; she made a quick swap, recalling Eulalia and releasing Mayumi, who went to work superpowering a poor Pawniard into a dented pile of scrap.

actually, in the brief seconds of their conversation, matias has somehow managed to find himself a pincurchin. it's sitting back home in his pc, as a matter of fact! how odd.[break][break]

"good question. i'd say about half are trained for battle while the others just...exist."[break][break]

Ah, the beautiful wonders of liquid time.

“Yeah, existing is a good way to put it,” she said, nodding her head.

Mayumi gets into a who-can-open-their-jaws-wider competition with a Mawile. Eventually, she loses, gets bored, and superpowers it into a curled up, tiny little ball.

“Out of those that you use,” Cyg ventures, pursing her lips in thought, “how many actually have brains?”

So many of hers seemed not to.

Cyg shrugs, searching for the words. “Like, you know, a brain. Intelligence. Beyond that of which things they put in their mouths.”

Case in point, Mayumi had found a Skarmory-- down here, of all places-- that Cyg originally believed to be a corpse. The Croconaw was crunching on its tail feathers, putting dents in the metal. The poor thing was all dinged up-- maybe left here, flailing about in these enclosed spaces, had beaten it all to hell.

Cyg tossed a Pokeball at it.

“I see.”

Matias’ answer gave her something to munch on. Pun intended.

“Maybe it’s me then.”

That actually explained a lot.

And Probopass is still ugly.
