POG Bank needed new seasonal ads, which meant that it was photoshoot time! Since this effusive, extravagant season was all about celebrating life - the miracle of nature - the new campaign was gonna be nature-themed!

With a camera in hand, Rico scouted the verdant area of Petalburg Woods. He wore civilian clothes, obviously, while his cerulean hair was tied behind his head in a short ponytail. One of his treasured Meowth was walking alongside him on all fours, curiously sniffing the flowers and bushes.

If he was the photographer, then who was the one getting photographed? Why, it was none other than Rico's favorite model, the beautiful Luka Chêne! After scanning the area, the blue-haired youth pointed at a large tree up ahead that stood out from the others. "This looks like a good spot! Could you stand under that tree, Luka-chan?" He cordially requested.

Soft lace flutters behind Luka as they walk, the stark white of her sundress made all the brighter underneath dappled sunlight. Even if they're only scouting for a pog bank shoot, she feels the need to look the part (just without the cat ears). Who knows when a perfect photo-op might strike?![break][break]

With Rico behind the camera, any moment is bound to be picture-perfect. And that's a wonderful skill for a photographer to have, though it makes Luka hyper-aware that this is a work outing. So she walks with her back a little straighter, and her tongue bleeds formalities. And though she keeps an eye out for the perfect spot, it's Rico's artistic eye that finds it first.[break][break]

"This one, Monsieur? Mm, of course!" She flits over to it, her Cherrim floating lazily behind her. It's a good choice- a cherry tree in full bloom, with pink flowers standing out in contrast to the greenery around them. It even smells nice! The sweet scent of cherry, plus something sugary and stronger...[break][break]

"Is there any kind of pose you'd like?"

Rico's cheeks flushed a faint shade of pink when Luka addressed him as 'Monsieur'. That Kalosian dialect of hers added so many cuteness points! She really was POG's most charming model! Those who didn't like her simply had bad taste.

"Oui, Madame! A Cherrim and a cherry-haired beauty sitting under the cherry blossoms. What could be more fitting?" The flamboyant photographer mused, all the while adjusting his camera. Maddie the Meowth mewled jovially, seemingly agreeing with his assertion.

Rico hummed at Luka's question. "A pose? Hmmm... Try leaning against the tree. Embrace nature, feel its texture. Be one with the tree." He replied. After all, why restrict oneself to touching grass when one could touch trees? "Ugh! Go away, stupid bee!" Rico grunted, swatting away a harmless Combee that buzzed noisily.

"Oh goodness..." Compliments always manage to fluster her. The pink of her cheeks matches the fluttering blossoms all around them. Pink face, pink hair, pink cherry petals...the stage is already set for a roseate haven. How utterly delightful![break][break]

Luka arranges herself carefully near the tree as her Cherrim performs a quick sunny day, allowing sunlight to stream brilliantly through the trees. Cerulean petals part to reveal even more gentle pink and a smiling yellow face, with soft chirrups that mingle with the sound of buzzing Combee.[break][break]

They're not close enough to her to be a bother, but Luka does notice a few swarming around Rico. "Aww, wait! Don't chase off the poor thing. We're the ones trespassing in their home, if you think about it." She giggles. "Embrace nature, remember?"[break][break]

Though Luka doesn't relish the idea of being stung, she's still a gentle soul, and the Combee aren't hurting anyone. She smiles softly and leans against the tree, palm first and head against the trunk. But underneath her hand, she feels not textured bark but something warm and sticky— [break][break]

"Ah...I-I think I know why there's so many Combee around..."

A huge, utterly elated smile was plastered on the man's countenance, as he basked in the radiant sunlight summoned by Cherrim's Sunny Day. The diminutive Grass type even transformed into its more recognizable form, its petals spreading open to reveal its perpetually happy visage. "Wonderful! Stupendous! Fabulous!" Rico exclaimed.

POG's self-appointed photographer nodded at Luka's comment regarding the Combee. "Right, I love nature!" Her compassion and kindness knew no bounds. Perhaps he should swear off his dark life of wrongdoing and aspire to be more like her... Naaah!

Maddie was jumping high in the air, trying to catch the swarming Combee, though she treated this like a game and meant no harm. Rico was about to snap the first pic when he heard Luka's cryptic comment. "Huh? What do you mean? Is something wrong?" He asked.

If only more people were like her...[break][break]
Though hers is an absurdly idealistic way of thinking, and the world would likely be a very boring place if everyone was so unrelentingly kind. Even so, perhaps it would be better than living in world full of strife and conflict.[break][break]

But flowery tangents on idealism aren't the point. The point is taking pretty pictures. And even though Luka can't force anyone to follow her ideals, she can at least help add a little beauty to the world. Rico's photos truly are magical![break][break]

"Oh! Umm..." She tries, discreetly, to move her hand. It's covered in sticky honey, and a slight shift of her head tells her that her hair is in a similar predicament.[break][break]

But to move now would be to ruin the shot. So Luka laughs softly and waves her free hand in dismissal. "No, Monsieur! Erm, everything's fine!" Carefully, she fixes her skirt and tries to arrange herself in a way that will conceal the honey. "I'm ready now!"

Luka claimed that she was fine, but the swarm of Combee happily flocking towards her told a different story. Her altruism even warmed Rico's evil heart a little. "She doesn't want me to get worried... How can one person be so pure of heart?" He thought to himself, shedding a manly tear.

He made up his mind; today, for one time only, Rico Bassanello wouldn't be a charming villain, but a handsome hero! "Leave her alone, bees! I love nature, but not when it's trying to harm an innocent maiden!" He declared gallantly, flailing his arms in order to keep the Combee at bay. Luka was also a valuable asset for POG Productions, so he had to make extra sure that no harm came to her.

Speaking of, Rico got closer to the tree in order to assess the situation, quickly deducing from the viscous fluid covering the woman's pink hair that she'd gotten herself stuck on its honey-lathered trunk. "This looks bad... Can you pull yourself free?" He asked her, while simultaneously keeping an eye on the ever increasing number of Combee surrounding them.
