There’s not anyone better equipped to handle a situation like this than MATIAS SILPH, in all honesty. He’s fought and has beaten the Rocket beast even with his avatar by his side. It not only gave the League comfort, but it gave Eva a sense of security being back home with him.

In her mind, it made them no different than Rocket.

gabriel projects confidence, a simple task, as it came naturally to him. turning towards penny, regardless of whether or not eva was in the process of leaving, his expression is a wall of stone.

"you do not work for me, that is true, and i have no desire to stifle your creativity, or censor your freedom of the press — but what i'm asking of you could save lives in the coming conflict. if you wish to publish this story, and i so hope that you do, i want your first draft on my desk by the end of the week." gabriel exhales, allowing just a smidge of tension to release from his features.

The thought of having to offer up her first draft made Penelope's heart sink a tad. It felt more elementary than anything she's experienced in a while -- like a child turning in a school assignment to be graded by their teacher. Alas, if it meant benefiting the people (as well as stealing one hell of a story from the likes of BARNABY FINCH), she'd push aside these differences. For the most part, at least.

"I'll do the best I can," She assured the councilman, though, clear in her eyes was a spark of contention that held itself back just enough to be shackled behind closed lips.

The natural aire of the conversation began to dwindle down, the meeting ending in a rather predictable way. Despite the tension she could feel radiating form Penelope, the Docotor offered a smile to the both of them to cut through the air.

“Okey dokey then, councilman,” she moves her attention towards the aforementioned assistant before rising from her chair, “Ya both know where ta find me if you need anything,” before she leaves she gives them both a nod, hoping they took her offer seriously if they found themselves in need of assistance.
