The third bedroom definitely needs work, but, yeah, two out of three is not bad at all. Actually, the fact that this older house didn’t seem to need much work at all was astounding. That meant the previous owner cared for it, likely raised a family here, made it a core part of their life. Eva hoped they could give the property the same love the previous family did.

She breaks away from Matias to move towards the window as he plops down onto the bed. She peers outside across the sparkling lake. Another stunning view with the rolling green hills rising into mountains beyond it. So much land, water, and sky for their pokemon to roam happily and for them to explore.

“This place reminds me of where I grew up,” she admits before turning around to face him, “There wasn’t a lake like this but,” her gaze trails off to glance around the room, “The house was like this – older, homey, full of love,” she glances back towards the window again, “I use to run around the ranch and explore every chance I got,” there’s a bit of longing and remorse in her voice, she misses home and the sense of family she left behind there.

It was very nice, a blessed childhood before Rocket ravaged the region.

Eva welcomes him with a smile, leaning into him as he wraps his arms around her waist. Her hands find his, gently resting on top of them. She feels secure beneath his embrace and the air around them seems peaceful. Everything is just right, perfect pieces falling into place.

“Yes, many new adventures await!” she agrees with a smile, now they just had to make sure Hoenn lasted long enough for them to have those adventures.

After the kiss she turns around to face him, reaching up to wrap her arms around his neck, “I have no doubt you will,” This is home now, here, with him, “Alright, let’s do it, let’s buy a ranch.”

the bedroom they're standing in while be filled with memories. the kitchen below, the patio that overlooks the lake, the forests and hills that surround them, all of it soon mean something to them.[break][break]

Good idea? Bad idea? Only time will tell. Right now, in the moment, it feels right. Very right.

Life is too precious to stall, after all. That’s something she’s considered recently with everything going on in Hoenn. Leaving, even going back to Kanto would be the better decision, but Hoenn was their home now. They couldn’t abandon it.

Eva holds him tenderly, fitting herself perfectly into the nooks and crannies of his embrace. She kisses him with similar passion, lingering afterwards as a wide smile she can’t seem to get rid of, “Ours,” she whispers, “I like the sound of that,” she gives him another quick kiss before pulling away a bit, “Honestly, I can’t wait to get out of the city,” she sighs, “A break from all the chaos sounds nice,” it certainly not a time for a vacation, but she wishes they took the one that talked about. If they survive all this, they are definitely taking a vacation.

A sanctuary all to their own, that’s what it should be. She never imagined that’s what she would need. Life had a way of surprising you sometimes whether it be for the good or bad. Keeping it their little secret would be difficult, but they could figure it out. Maybe with everything going on, The League would be more amenable to keeping their new location a secret. It’s not like either of them lacked enemies.

Eva’s smile curls into a grin, “Hm, you read my mind,” she was just thinking about that, “Now’s not a good time for a vacation though,” they missed their window. Her gaze drifts back out the window to the sparkling lake. She leans forward to rest her head on his chest, “Are you scared?” scared it won’t work? That the life they know could be gone in the blink of an eye if the meteor strikes or it simply disappears, wiped off the map by the sheer amount of energy coursing through the region.

“That doesn’t mean another window won’t pop up,” she hopes it does, she needs to hope, or else she’ll have nothing to fight for.

She shifts against his chest, moving to rest her chin against it to glance up at him. There is a lot to be scared of, but Matias raises a good alternative view, “I never thought about it like that,” but it still doesn’t settle well with her. Eva can’t help but feel the pressure and the need to heal and save the region.

it's a grim way to view things but it helps him come to terms with the pressure that accompanies such a monumental task. he knows he's not the only one to bear it but it sure does feel that way at times, though he has no one to blame but himself for that.[break][break]

He sounds so sure that they won’t fail. Confidence bleeds through his words whether he means for it to or not. It makes her a tad jealous. Why couldn’t she be as confident as he is? Maybe she’d actually be somewhere with her research if she was.
