"Hurry up. I want to be out of here as soon as possible." The grunts loading cargo onto the truck nodded and picked up the pace. [break][break]

Killian didn't usually oversee operations like this in person. Partly because he thought it beneath him, partly due to a lack of time. The location is the only reason he made an exception. [break][break]

The underboss itched at his right thigh. Beneath it, a leg not his own stood firm. "Something feels off." he muttered. Deoxys seemed to agree. He felt the creature tense underneath his skin.[break][break]

Who'd told them about all these precious gems again? Killian glanced around. The waterfall raged nearby, drowning out any approaching danger. He frowned. [break][break]

Paranoia wasn't a good look on him.

the raging waterfall provides them cover as they begin their assault. it is with a thundering crack that announces their presence — a SHADOW BOLT that strikes the truck looking to render it immobile.[break][break]

Deoxys reacts before Killian has a chance to register the danger. Its malleable flesh rushes like water from the underboss' eyes, enveloping his face as it spreads to cover the rest of him in a protective shell. [break][break]

"The hel-" the crack of lightning forces the words spiraling back down Killian's throat. A second later, he's blasted onto his ass, an explosion ringing in his ears. [break][break]

Anger. Frustration. Disappointment.[break][break]

What a cocktail of emotions, and only one belonged to him.[break][break]

Killian picked himself up from the ground, his eyes narrowing to slits behind Deoxys armored helm. "MATIAS SILPH." of course it be a Silph ruining things. Killian opened his mouth to say something snarky but his lips snapped shut. Against his will, he jerked forward, right arm rising to yank Matias off Virizion and into his grasp with Telekinetic might. [break][break]

"Fuck." Killian cursed, "I thought we were past this."[break][break]

Apparently they weren't.

they've met once but matias doesn't recognize the voice behind the orange and blue armored helm. before he knows it, he's lifted into the air with a TELEKINESIS, though virizion is quick to react.[break][break]

the sword of justice dashes, closing the distance to throw her SACRED SWORD across killian's oddly colored frame.[break][break]

manectric's THUNDER strikes as well.

"Not in control." Killian thought, struggling to push Deoxys free from the reins. The creature gripped tight as a vice on the imaginary straps, shoving Killian back with willpower alone.[break][break]

The alien let Matias drop and leaped back to dodge Virizion's incoming strike. The glistening blade scraped narrowly against its chest. Deoxys hissed, then shrieked as THUNDER surged through its body. Biomass sizzled and popped, wafting the stench of burnt flesh into the air.[break][break]

Killian felt the pain through the armor. Every nerve in his body was on fire, wanting to spasm and lock but forced not to by the thing operating him like a puppet. Teeth clenched, a soothing wave of energy washed over him. The burnt biomass around him RECOVERING to new. [break][break]

"We need another Pokemon." A Sword of Justice was tough enough to deal with on its own. If only he could - His neck snapped to the Manectric, PSYCHO BOOST firing from his chest at the hound. He dashed at the same time, taking cover behind nearby debris.[break][break]

"Listen to me you -"[break][break]

The alien refused to let him finish. They'd done things his way before, and it cost them a leg. Now it fought.

it seems to move with fluidity unlike anything he's ever seen before. it's almost graceful in the way it warps and slithers, like water flowing into grooves, and yet oddly disturbing at the same time.[break][break]

he narrows his eyes as he's dropped to the ground, guard still up even as it disappears behind the debris.[break][break]

PSYCHO BOOST fires, travels, and connects, cutting into manectric's flesh to draw blood. dark red drips to the ground, though it quickly sizzles as its wound starts to close. and from its maw pours a FLAMETHROWER, flames licking.[break][break]

virizion stands by matias' side, waiting.[break][break]

A sweltering heat thickens the cavern air. The pile of scrap metal was a poor shield before the flamethrower. Now, it's as good as useless. Its steel turns orange and hot against their backs. [break][break]

Any second now, they'd be engulfed by a sea of fire. Killian urged Deoxys to act, but the alien was already on the move. They Teleported as the flame overtook the debris. [break][break]

Their monstrous form reappeared above Manectric, firing a Dark Pulse.

pressure never relents as they simply cannot afford it. the silph's aggression shines, overpowering as FLAMETHROWER melts away whatever debris was there.[break][break]

DARK PULSE meets PROTECT, and even before the pulse of energy clears, another one shoots upwards from the manectric, ready to pierce through whatever orange and blue armor there is.[break][break]

manectric's SHADOW BOLT echoes through the cavern.

They have only seconds to dodge. "We're not fast enough." and being airborne leaves them too exposed. Killian can only grit his teeth and bare the agony of lightning's judgement. [break][break]

They crash to the ground, smoke rising from spasming flesh. [break][break]

Slowly, they rise, but something has changed. They stand straighter, comfortable in their skin.[break][break]

"That...lightning..." Killian muttered, reaching for his waist. The biomass withdrew for him to grab a Poke Ball. He needed to act fast. Already, the painful drum of Deoxys, desperate to regain control, beat at his mind. [break][break]

Naganadel joins them in a flash. [break][break]

"Dragon Pulse." ordered Killian, a hand clutching his face. [break][break]

"Gotta fall back and think of a plan." but his right leg refused to budge.

whatever it is, it definitely isn't anything matias has ever seen. it most likely isn't even from this universe, he assumes, judging from how it's still able to get back up after being singed by the SHADOW BOLT.[break][break]

"TAKE IT."[break][break]

a pokeball cracks open while manectric is left having to take the full brunt of the DRAGON PULSE. the force slams it against the ground.[break][break]

at the same time, a heatran materializes, STONE EDGES shooting out of the ground as they look to pierce into the alien to pin it in place.

Fuck, this wasn't good. Killian's brow furrowed in frustration. Why the hell didn't Deoxys want to fall back? They weren't in a position to handle multiple threats. Surely, it knew that. [break][break]

The examination with Ceri Glynn flashed into his mind. "Adrenaline." Of course. No wonder it wasn't going to flee. A fight like this provided too grand a feast. [break][break]

Killian tugged on his leg regardless, face strained beneath the biomass helm. "Move, damnit!" he demanded. [break][break]

It's too late, even if they did.[break][break]

The ground shook violently beneath him, jagged rocky pillars erupting from the cavern floor. They trapped Killian like a rat in a cage, stabbing through biomass and into flesh from multiple angles. The pain's white-hot in intensity, almost forcing a yell, but Killian refused Matias the satisfaction. [break][break]

He hung there in his prison, body limb and seemingly defeated. Naganadel, too froze. Unsure of what to do but watch and wait.

anyone else might've stopped then but matias knows better than to allow even the smallest of possibilities for this thing to escape. it needs to be stopped. killed before it has a chance to wreak more havoc.[break][break]

he cannot have a repeat of the darkest day.[break][break]

a preemptive PROTECT forms around them.[break][break]

spears of earth erupt from the ground to join the STONE EDGES, and the moment they find contact, they ERUPT, exploding in a violent display that would easily kill anything trapped within.[break][break]

but this thing isn't ordinary.

Psionic powers expand around the molten flame, capturing it in a Telekinetic grip. The explosion swirls, red and purple, mixed in a vile rotating sphere around their limp body.[break][break]

"Enough." They were two minds battling for one body, but no more. Now they fought together - host and symbiote united as one.[break][break]

Meteor Falls rumbled violently, PRESSURE flooding the air in droves. The rocks that caged them flattened underneath the weight. [break][break]

The captured flames lashed out at Virizion and Heatran, a searing whip poised to burn flesh. [break][break]

Killian floated in the air, his damaged body RECOVERing quickly. Glowing red eyes stared at Matias from behind a biomass helm. If looks could kill, the one pointed Silph's way would end a hundred lives

quick to react, matias summons a wall of earth in front of him to absorb whatever flames manage to get pass heatran's FLASH FIRE. earth sizzles, almost melting away by the end of it. the air feels poisonous.[break][break]

the wall drops, and matias' gaze travels up to find them.[break][break]

but the battle isn't over.[break][break]

SHADOW BOLT shoots out from the singed manectric, looking to impale the alien and its host.
