He lobbed a Pokeball to the ground, a Torterra emerging to fill the space between Isaac and Locke. She turned to the other trainer, a gentle smile spreading across her face. She then kneeled down, Overgrown plants spreading out from her shell to help usher Locke onto her back. As far as slow, smooth, and stable rides went, Torterra were hard to beat.[break][break]

For a brief moment, Isaac remembered how the man he refused to call father used to give his little brother Torterra rides to help him cope with his leg injury. It was such a loving and caring act, and to this day his Torterra was one of Elliot's favorite Pokemon. And yet, when thinking back on it, Isaac couldn't help but wonder.[break][break]

How could a man capable of such tenderness be so cruel?

Locke prided himself on his speed, but seeing the Torterra made him feel a bit hare-ish: fast asleep by the finish line.
