While Angelo's future was tethered to the blue, open skies, Penelope's was bounded to the ground below. Both were free in their own ways, she supposed. A matching grin met his as her gaze fluttered back to the ocean below. It only faltered at the mention of the still lost boat.

What were they to do then? It wasn't like the former journalist had a pocket worth of past experience in search and rescues. Even if she did, there was only so much they could do from up here. Still, the thought of being stranded out in the ocean seas, without any means of escape, made her stomach curl in on itself. If they could something, anything, then they should at least try.

Turning, she glanced back at Angelo, brows raised nearly up to her hairline. Hopefully he'd have a better suggestion than her.

Angelo can feel the weight of Penelope's gaze, silently pressing down on him for solutions, even as they fly weightless through the sky.

Another may have faltered under the unspoken expectation but the pilot carried it, pushing through like a plane's lift breaking through restless wind.

Thinking of the evacuees stranded at sea, left to the mercies of the tide on a dead vessel, didn't just make the councilwoman's gut twist.

“You're good with reports, right? Take these a second.”

From the door pocket Angelo pulls out the wind data, charts and some others papers in a scrunched fist full, passing them over to Penelope.

He'd already scoured over the contents, committed the coordinates to memory which area of the Hoennian seas the coast guards had predicted their missing boat to be. But another keen eye giving their opinion was always helpful.

“So, if you're caught up in a storm, it's advised that the vessel continues but at a slower pace. Can control your position in the water better, that way. With that in mind and taking into account wind speed and their heading, they're expected to be found around here.” His finger reaches over towards the charts in Penelope's hands, pointing towards a small cluster of islands, closer to Pacifidlog than anticipated and positioned south-east. “But if they were unseasoned sailors or panicking cause of circumstances, they might've panicked and tried to outrun it. Lost control. Run aground, maybe.”

He fiddles with the radio dial, tuning in to the comms with the rest of the search party. “Worth a fly over, right?”
