The Poor Altaria and Swablu had been caught here. Their migratory pattern is disrupted. Unable to spread their fluffy wings and fly to wherever their cloudy feathers would carry them was such a shame.

This is why Elinor had arrived here. Like many Rangers and Trainers, she was here to help. While not particularly aggressive by nature, any excessive large amount of a given specie was bound to impact the ecological balance of the area.

And so like many others would come here hoping to adopt one and if not at least lead some of them to a more appropriate nesting ground.

Luckily she already had a little fluffy helper that could fly around amongst the Dragon Birds and question offering them succor, while Elinor took stock of the situation.

Klaus's hands found his hips, his weight idly shifting between either foot as he observed the swarm before him. All around wisps of white filled the air, downy feathers of cloud spinning on the breeze to litter the ground in plush cotton.

"Alright," Klaus murmurs, his hand eventually slipping into his pocket to retrieve a pokeball. "Let's help clear them out. Or something." Tossing the pokeball in his hand before catching it in a haphazard manner, he releases his Lapras to thin the flock.

Was she a ranger or a brave trainer? No. But she had some ranger training and kind of wanted an Altaria for herself. She already had a Togekiss to fly on, yes, but those fluffy wings were certainly alluring. Better to have one than not to have one, really, so she had set out alongside some random other people to help with the problem.

Yes, those people were a lot more earnest and eager about the task. But they also knew less about the problem behind this particular incident, so they could bother with such matters. Vio herself was somewhat distracted as she trailed along, still trying to figure things out for herself. Yet, having something to do helped, so she did hunt one of the draconic beasts down with her Eevee nonetheless, hoping to catch it. It still kind of happened in a blur, though, as if she was not actually there, standing beside herself. But that was just a natural result from having her head messed with and seeing her identity ripped from her temporarily.

Yeah, things were not okay. But she did better now that she had something to do. And who knew, maybe she could soon soar through the skies on wings of fluff. That was something, too.

Ranger Stacy had taken a call about flocks of Swablu and its evolution Altaria, having trouble because of the dome that had come down over Hoenn. Something she herself had been quite bummed about when she found out, as she didn't want to only be stuck here though she wasn't expecting to leave any time soon. As help was needed but being able to go home and visit family was something she did like having on the table rather not, regardless, she had arrived at the designated location. Noting that she was far from the only one herding the fluffy bird like pokemon, who were all in quite the fluster with what was happening.

In some places Stacy could see what looked like snow fall, patches of clouds falling from the sky. Which would look beautiful to those that didn't realize that Swablue and Altaria's feathers were those clouds, so it wasn't all natural beauty but also freaking out on the wingtips of these unfortunate pokemon. Stacy let out her Butterfree, the only pokemon she had that could fly. And while her Slowking could float and her Cinderace could jump, it was best to use flight here to maintain some degree of control. Stacy just hoped, that the Altaria's wouldn't attempt to eat her Butterfree as it was likely something they may hunt normally.

Stacy finds a big rock jutting out of the ground and climbing to the top of it so she can see better as her Butterfree flew up closer to the group of pokemon, once close enough to the pokemon. "Use Quiver Dance to get their attention and round them back together" orders Stacy and Butterfree starts to call out to the flock. Flickering back and forth in a wide area to get the Swablu and Altaria's attention who started coming back together as a group as they avoid the Butterfree's Quiver Dance, while it's not a damage inducing move. It still makes them think twice about colliding with bug, also the beautiful nature of Quiver Dance also seems to keep them entranced by the Butterfree.

was that annalise henderson? he blinks, frowning slightly, trying to parse the woman out from the crowd that had gathered. it'd be awkward to approach and be entirely wrong, so he plays it safe. still, he feels like they're two birds of a feather.

approaching the great flock, but keeping his respectful distance - were altaria the goose of hoenn? - he admires the cloud dragons. gorgeous creatures, except when they were soaked and their majesty clung to their skin, he took some time to enjoy the moment here and now.

A look of shocked awe spread across Nomi's face as she walked out onto the patio of Moonblast Microbrew to see an especially dense hoard of Altaria migrating overhead, a significantly less impressed Valerian at her heels. "Look, Val! Aren't they lovely?" She exclaimed, clapping her hands together in delight. She'd always admired the beautiful, elegant bird Pokémon, with their fluffy cloud-like feathers. Her Sylveon, however, merely yawned.[break][break]
Just then, one of the Altaria spied a strand of delectable-looking hops poking out of the top of Nomi's greenhouse, and swiftly descended with the intention of attempting to take a bite. "Hey now, those are for beer brewing!" Nomi tried to explain, rushing over to the smaller building. Valerian decided to take the initiative on this one - he knew as well as his trainer that out in the countryside it could take a few hours for a Verdanturf Ranger to show up - and promptly sent a well-aimed MOONBLAST up at the hungry baby-blue bird Pokémon. Nomi, realizing what was happening, grabbed a Pokéball from her pocket - just in case![break][break]

priam only seems to be mildly interested in the birds, but he saw the golden ones and he feels the need to get one. gold means first place, and being first place means being awesome. it's just the perfect fit for him and he has science to back it up.

he already has a bunch of birds-- well, he only has one that he always uses, but that was enough for him most of the time. but having one bird isn't good enough! having an extra is fine then he can get them all out and use that birds of the same feather metaphor he always hears. he's not sure what that meant, but it must be good enough if it's turned into a figure of speech.

regardless, he flies up in the sky with his own braviary bird before he chucks pokeballs at the golden bird.
