She takes another bite from her ice cream, giving space for both of them to breathe. That and getting Reiner to finally cave in for a small scoop. "I've seen the rangers and police that still stay in Sootopolis to try and help civilians, they can act if they're needed or if they see masses of Rockets just leaving the city. But you higher-ups probably have countermeasures, I think. I wouldn't know how your minds work."[break][break]

When he frowns at her scars, she can only reflect his expression, keeping her gaze on the Luxray and reaching out to stroke his mane.[break][break]

"THEO BECKETT gave the burns. Shot my parents in front of me... then tried to kill me by setting my house on fire." And it doesn't stop there, she can't help but brush her right sleeve up to show the cuts, gashes and chemical burns that remained. "Rocket made it really hard to find safety in Kanto. The grunts would hunt me down sometimes just for sport and the survivors were afraid that I was someone from Rocket about to kill them." There's laughter but it's weak, pained as she draws her right sleeve back down.[break][break]

"They were in the same boat that I was... but they were... so paranoid... driven mad because of what Rocket had done. I only managed to survive because Dorian saved me but... no other kid would... I don't know how many other kids there were that were just like me... whether they're dead, whether they survived and are living a better life."[break][break]

Truth sits upon her tongue and she finds herself to have dug such a deep pit, she simply confesses.[break][break]

"Casualties are unavoidable in wars but I don't want a repeat of Kanto. I'm... one of those that stuck with Rocket because you guys became my lifeline, because I would have died in Kanto otherwise. But other remnants of Kanto, they want to kill you guys, they hate you all. Sometimes, even I think about shooting Theo. He gave me the gun he used to shoot momma and pa... I could just..."[break][break]

Her fingers curl around an imaginary trigger, almost as if she can just see him in the distance. But she never pulls it, she places it down, redirects the bullet elsewhere like she'd done so that day.[break][break]

"You guys at the top have power, you guys have seen many people and I think you can tell a person's character sometimes. Better than I would maybe. You have to know that some of them don't care how many die, they're just raring to go. They've bought so deep into your whole propaganda that ends justify the means, some just want to see chaos return and others just let power get to their head. Those people can ultimately be the catalyst for the return of Kanto's Rocket."
