since its eruption a little over a year ago, mt. chimney’s fiery path had cooled again. dark volcanic rock streamed across the ground here and there, a remnant of history which had mostly been given to another unfortunate timestream, when a temporal rift had caused it to erupt into the past.[break][break]

One wouldn’t think that a council member had so much time to be wandering around Hoenn. Well, with a proper team of subordinates who knew how to do their job, it wasn’t a hard thing to find a bit of time to wander the sides of Mt. Chimney.

But she wasn’t walking alone. She heard the words of iseult babineaux whom she had brought along or was it perhaps the other way around? Details.

“Yeah, it does seem like there is always some strange event happening here.” She gazed toward the top of the Volcano. Almost as if some deity was planning this all in advance. A funny thought, but illogical. “But even with that in mind. I have to agree with you that it is strange to think about.”

She returned her attention to the path they walked. Though she was dressed casually appropriate for the Hike, it didn’t mean she could skimp on actually looking where she walked.

there was a parallel. perhaps it hadn’t been intentional by hoenn, but its sending of the eruption into another timestream had meant danger for another place—and perhaps even for their alternate selves.[break][break]
once the meteor had been sent to sea!hoenn, would the region finally feel collective guilt for such instances of sacrificing other lives? would the absolute intent behind it this time make a difference?

“Perhaps, though I will admit. I know little on how long eruptions can keep on going.” Elinor admitted. “But I certainly hope not.”

And that’s when her eyes spotted the fluttering red smoldering wings nearby. I seemed they weren’t alone today. And whoever was with them ill intentions.

The Fiery Dance lit the wings of the Volcarona into a blaze of flames.

But Elinor’s reflexes were quick. She summoned forth a bird of Equal size. The psychic energies on its head shone brightly as it summoned the power of an AIR SLASH to tear into the Volcarona before its fiery wings could lit them alight.

Volcarona’s defeat was quick. And so was the Hisuian Braviary as it saved the Volcarona from falling to its doom.

Elinor would capture the bug, for she did enjoy the passion and aggression that it had so quickly displayed.

the rapidash’s flame wheel spiralled around it, overpowering, weakening. iseult tossed an empty pokéball. she’d grown up around many charizard. now it was time to have her own.[break][break]

“A Thousand years?!” Elinor blurted out. “Surely that is an exaggeration.” She said, but something within her, a sensation perhaps, told her that it was not.

But Elinor wasn’t given much time to ponder the enormity of such a waste amount of time as a Pokémon decided it wasn’t about to be ignored.

Glimmer attacked, sending a spray of Acid toward Elinor. Luckily her bird once again was quick to protect its trainer, nearly crushing the Glimmet beneath a point blank ESPER WING.

But Elinor saved it from such a fate with an empty Pokéball.

With that done, she returned her attention to the woman and replied. “I am afraid I do not know the Legend about Volcarona.”
