The finality imposed on them has been broken, but it does not mean their spirits are strong. There are wounded. There are even dead. Or were, in some cases. A plethora of misfortune and fortune all in one. Nobody could say they saw it coming. And not many would know what to make of it, other than to be thankful. To appreciate that there would be another day in Hoenn.

Derek is in a lull. Partial consciousness. He's comforted by familiar voices, even if they are not entirely calm. But they are there somewhere, and it helps. The familiar sight of his Charizard is also beneficial to him, quickly whisking it's trainer to those who can be of assistance. He is in no immediate danger, but the shock of it all and moderate blood loss causes his sight and coherence to falter.

Eventually he gives in, a small smudge of a smile on his features as Derek is proposed to those who could help heal his injuries enough for relocation. Only then would his pokemon return him to Petalburg, where many of it's old friends and rivals awaited to welcome the one who was brought back from the brink. From certainty.

...From death.

Unfortunately Derek was not able to see whose victory this was. He would only learn of it later, cursing the ones who sought to exploit a moment of vulnerability that could have jeopardized the entirety of their existence. One could surmise he would just have to learn to gamble with high stakes the way they had. All in.

For a little while, illeana reyes would not understand her BRONZONG'S FUTURE SIGHT still. A turbulent wave. The smell of salt.[break][break]

SEA HOENN WAS PREPARED. After all, FERNANDO SILPH had told his counterpart to find and harness a power source in their world... and illeana reyes herself, in her repeated attempts to assail the PRIMAL POINTS in her desires to search for PALKIA, had preemptively alerted the seaborne kingdom to the League's plans. The ACT OF DIPLOMACY simply reaffirmed them.[break][break]

Unbeknownst to Universe 820, when 99943 METENO is warped, SEA-SKYLER and her retinue are there to greet it. The meteoroid manifests in the skies, above the realm's grand sea. The Sea Queen's KYOGRE UNDERGOES PRIMAL REVERSION. Absorbing the innate energies of their PRIMORDIAL SEA, the KYOGRE is able to fire countless watery comets from its ORIGIN PULSE to slow the meteoroid's descent in a fierce contest of gravity and ancient power. Chunks of space rock scatter. Plunge into the sea with loud splashes.[break][break]

Everyone in her retinue glows with red markings. Powers enhanced and further bestowed by their ancient leviathan. The sea-embedded pillars that aid in their traversal to Universe 820 activate in turn. The meteoroid is slowed further...[break][break]

And when it lands, it lands gracefully. It kisses the endless ocean of Sea Hoenn. Rests in the briny cradle. Still, the wave it creates is turbulent enough to course over the little land that remains.[break][break]
