once again, matias finds himself out and about to complete his pokedex. today, the location of choice is meteor falls simply because he'd been in the area.[break][break]

and it's deep within meteor falls that he runs into a familiar face.[break][break]

after a brief and very faint smile, matias pulls out his tera orb.[break][break]

The Terastal Phenomenon was quite different from Mega Evolution, and it was something Thomas wanted to explore.

As Thomas and Kuma Lisa explored the area, they would run into an all too familiar face.

"Good to see you, Matias.", Thomas would greet the Elite Four with a respectful nod.

He would pull out his own Tera Orb to answer the question.

"You here to experiment, or you here for the usual?", he'd inquire.

"experiment, really. i hear these things are quite powerful."[break][break]

the tera orb feels light, almost empty in his hand. to think it enables such power is fascinating, to say the least, and it's with a spring in his step that he takes backs away form his charizard.[break][break]

"i assume it's your zoroark that's going to terastallize? should we have a small battle after?"

"Yeah.", he'd respond.

A fearsome-looking Kommo-o would stamp towards the group, looking for a fight. Thomas, seeing the perfect opportunity, raised his Tera Orb.

Kuma Lisa's body would take on a glow, before her body would seemingly take on a crystal-like aura, with an ornate pink crown hovering over her head.

The Zoroark would unleash a Tera Blast towards the Kommo-o, which would send the fearsome dragon flying.

the kommo-o is sent flying, much to his surprise.[break][break]

"oh you could've attacked my charizard but it's fine."[break][break]

he chuckles, then tosses his own tera orb high up into the air above charizard. it bursts, exploding into small shards that fall over the fire-type. they stick to its skin, covering flesh with crystals as it becomes a DRAGON-TYPE.[break][break]

"i'm going to attack your zoroark."[break][break]

that's as much of a warning he's going to give before his charizard turns to let loose a DRAGON PULSE.

"Someone had to deal with the intruder.", Thomas retorted with a playful smirk.

The Zoroark would take the Dragon Pulse, unfazed by the blast. This showed that not only offensively, but defensively, that the Zoroark had become a Fairy-type. In response, she would blast the Charizard with a Tera Blast of her own.

"Interesting.", Thomas mused out loud.

the returned TERA BLAST spreads across charizard's crystal-like scales, highly damaging due to charizard's newly acquired DRAGON-TYPE. he takes note of it, quick to understand the differences in their attacks.[break][break]

"it seems as though their typing changes according to the tera crystal you give them."[break][break]

he gestures.[break][break]

"i gave my charizard a dragon one. i assume you gave your zoroark something resistant to dragon-attacks? fairy, maybe?"

The Zoroark's Tera Blast was highly effective in dealing with the Charizard. But then, given the effect it had on the Kommo-o moments earlier, it shouldn't have come as a surprise to anyone. Especially not to the two Elite Four-tier trainers.

"That is correct.", he'd tell Matias.

"Shall we finish the battle, or call it here?", he'd ask.
