He's been here for awhile. Sunny and Chad are simply sledding down a small hill over and over, as Maple watched on. The two find some level of companionship. Ashley is just trying to quietly enjoy some time alone. This might be a favorite of his now. Ice. Snow. Nothing but an endless expanse in the field.

With his right arm quietly in its sling, he sits and tries to allow the Scorbunny and Mankey to enjoy themselves. Bongo would definitely keep tabs on everything at home.

He'd have to take Kep here one day. The winter wonderland it is, despite the coffins of ice, has this tranquil calming effect on him. He could fall asleep here.

Maybe he'd find some Pokemon. Or someone to talk to. But it's so quiet, he doesn't mind that stillness though.

They have not-so-affectionately dubbed it The Silent Icelands, and it’s silently that the pokémon trapped in its ice adorned the snowy fields as if life-like statues. There’s no life let in them, though.

Some people find it disturbing, others are capable of ignoring their presence in favour of enjoying the blessing that is snow in this tropical region, and Martín del Mar… Well, he’s here because he has work to do. Of course. He always has something to do. Always up to something.

He walks through the icelands, paying just as much attention to his surroundings as the Unown that floats by his side. An Unown-?. The same one that had joined him for the mission to Mount Pyre.

It’s this Unown that first notices Ashley Shepard and his pokémon, showing such a sight to Mars through the psychic link that exists between Unown and avatar. He had not intended to run into any of his Rocket underlings at a place like this, but Mars is not one to waste an opportunity, especially when it's someone he's been meaning to find the time to talk to.

A familiar voice enters his ear, and Ashley's head turns to the side. Oh shit, it was Mars! He makes a delighted smile... and it evaporates in thin air. Right. He gave tips on his Slowpoke before. A sigh.

"Hey. Mars, right?" He restores his grin, Maple turning around to the new person. The Glaceon's tail slowly moves back and forth. "Been awhile." He says it quietly. Part of him hoped they'd never meet again. Because...

He laments. Sushi's death. He was hoping to show Mars a full grown Slowking one day.

Oh well.

With a Spheal rolling around nearby Chad, Ashley throws a Pokeball, a Premier Ball specifically, and watches the little Spheal go in the ball. "I'm enjoying what I can. Yourself?" It's small talk, though an air of lamentation hangs heavy in the air.

The Unown levitates by his side as he speaks, but while it stares at Ashley Shepard with the most bored look there can be, its attention is soon drawn towards what wanders a few metres behind him. There, also levitating over the snow, is a pokémon that may just be even more curious than the symbol: a sentient ice cream.

It communicates the sight to Mars, and in turn, he does no more than nod, giving the Unown-? his consent to go inspect this curious creature. Soon enough, a super effective HIDDEN POWER strikes, but Mars simply watches as if this were of no bother to him at all.

”Although I suppose it’s now actually Underboss Del Mar to you, hm?” He corrects then, quirking a brow. A faint smile tugs at his lips, yet his gaze fixes on Ashley. "Looks like we're both making the best out of a bad situation."
