the gust of wind shifts his attention to a different direction. from here, he sees a porygon. although they're supposed to be rare, he's seen a lot of people with it since it's convenient to have. the same goes for rotom.

"we'll just have to find more though. we have to ride the hype while it's still there, you know, for fun."

kyle takes his mightyena to face the porygon with a whistle and a motion of his head. it points the canine to the pokemon that minded its own business. a go signal is given with a whistle of a certain pitch, where the pokemon bolts for it quick.

the mightyena crashes into the porygon, forcing it to the ground with rock smash. the wild pokemon takes the direct hit, and before it can recover, kyle throws a pokeball at it.

"do you think porygon are still hype?" he asks as he watches the device swallow the pokemon. "they were really popular back then."

the same thing applies to pokemon like smeargle or rotom. they were all the rage once upon a time but not anymore.[break][break]

"i guess it's only a matter of time before paldean pokemon are out of hype as well."[break][break]

he sighs, turning away to look at the mismagius. the ghost passes by, ASTONISHING nothing and no one in particular gengar's SHADOW BALL catches it off guard, knocking it back into a well thrown pokeball.

they have clout on demand, and even then, kyle doesn't want it. matias probably does, given that he hired his own publicist, but then again, he needed it with how bad his reputation is. even kyle can't think of a way to salvage it.

a mushroom pops out, which is very fitting for a haunted house. it gives it the old, musty abandoned vibes, especially when it has a face as well.

"some mons are just plain useful anyways, even if they aren't paldean."

his mightyena fires off a hyper beam at the shiinotic. the pokemon eats all of it up, protecting the integrity of the house by not letting any of the attack stray off and causing collateral damage.

"like this one."

he throws a pokeball for a capture.

"i'll leave the hoard of paldean mons to someone else so they can brag about it, i suppose." it wasn't like they're going to hold the distinction for long anyways, just as what matias said.
