Chu-e was taking a nap.

Well, a half nap.

He was curled up on his side, back to the door, with his eyes closed. A sort of half away, half asleep dreamy state. Chu-e's mind was blessedly empty as he tried to will himself deeper and deeper into sleep.

The worst part of being locked up here was the boredom. At least when Rocket had captured him, years ago, he could focus on the hunger and the pain. Here was just nothing. It was staring at a beige wall and wondering how long he'd been down here. There was nothing to track the time other than the delivery of food.

'You have a visitor' an intercom says ruining chu-e's silence. [break][break]

The door opens and Melody walks in, a meowscarda walking besides her, bowing to chu-e as she was an attention whore. [break][break]

"How the roles have reversed. Feels weird." she comments as she had immediately decided to pay chu-e a visit when she found out he was captured by the league. She looks around the room, it was as barren as possible, it felt more like a hospital. "I do gotta say at least your cell was better than my own." she adds as she paces around the room.

The intercom buzzes and makes him flinch. Grumbling, Chu-e pulls himself up. The morphine drip in his hand tugs as he rolls over to see what sap the League had sent this time...

"Hey, Melody." He gives a half yawn and tries to push himself to sit up and talk to her properly. Unlike most of the strangers who had come to see him, Chu-e feels a bit better knowing it was this E4 member. Melody Miro might not like him, might even hate him, but he trusted her character enough to not be cruel with him.

"You didn't bring me food, though. How can I throw it at you?" He pouts, almost as if he's really sad, but the small tug at the corner of his lips shows he's just making a dark joke.

This whole situation was a fucking joke.

Curling up to lean against the wall, Chu-e gave a large yawn; if Melody looked, she could see black crystal shining in the back of his throat and on the roof of his mouth in flat planes.

"Can I do anything for you, Miss Elite Four?" He did give a curious glance at the Meowscarda. What the fuck kind of cat was that and why didn't he have one?

She takes a seat towards one of the chairs in the room, leaning back into it. It wasn't the most comfortable but it would do for now as she crossed her legs. Chu-e Choi asked her what she came for and the answer was obvious. "Several things, but im gonna be selfish first and dive straight into it." she says as an uncharacteristical anger emerges from her face. [break][break]

"Where is Madeleine Miro . Chu-e. Where is glitch maverick . Where is Casey Fincher ."

Chu-e's eyes sparkled for a moment. "You nailed Theo with a chicken sandwich?" He sounds thrilled as a grin breaks his face. But he does sigh, glancing at the IV. He wished he could have some better food than the hospital stuff he was being given.

Then he pouts.

"Hey, don't give Rocket credit for the stupid shit I did." But that's all he says on the Necrozma situation. For now.

The actual questions that Melody Miro does ask actually throws him through a loop. Of all the things she could have asked...

But he does think about it.

"I don't know, Melody. I'm sorry."

But he frowns and does try to give her what little he does know.

"The last time I spoke to Madeline was when we talked about you. That was when you were captured. She creeped me out so I didn't talk to her much." He rubbed his chin, Glitch was even farther back than that. "Glitch actually worked directly under me. I approved extended leave for Unova ages ago; he was with some ghost guy, I think. I don't know what that third person is."

A shake of the head.

Thank god that seemed to sate her. Chu-e was barren of actual useful info so he wasn't even sure if that had helped Melody Miro or not.

A tension broke and he leaned forward, squeezing his blanket tight in his fists.

"Is she okay? Do you know where she's at? Will you tell her I'm okay? Make sure she takes her vitamins since I know she won't eat all her veggies..."

He shifted in place, eager to hear what the other would have to say. He just hoped Melody had actually seen her and he wasn't barking up the wrong tree.

He was a frazzled parent worrying for their child's survival without them there. However Melody felt a lack of sympathy, or so she tried to convince herself she did.[break][break]

She was envious but did her best to hide it. "I'm sure she's fine. She's a resourceful one, I haven't been able to find her however. But I feel like thanks to that little deal I made with her. She'll show up relatively soon to my home." [break][break]

She uncrosses her arms and stands up as she walks around the perimeter of the room as she stares at the walls instead of looking at chu-e. "Chu-e I came to make you aware of my actions regarding her actually. I'm bringing her in." she states, her voice sounding cold but her expression being rather torn on it. [break][break]

"I warned her about pursuing Mesprit. She had a mark on her wrist left there by Mesprit and another person had a mark from Uxie." she says before turning to face him. "And the person who had Uxie's mark is now with Uxie, meaning Eris Halla has Mesprit."

"She'll try and run, even if she comes to you." Eris Halla was crafty and smart. He was proud of her for being so smart.
But he sometimes wished her mind didn't swirl with so much anxiety mixed in. It would be better for her.

A small frown.

"Just promise me to keep MATIAS SILPH away from her, okay? He's tried to hurt her and her pokemon before." But Melody Miro knew that story, from when he sought her out in the wreckage of her concert hall months ago.

There was a small hum. Eris Halla had shown him that mark before and he had kept quiet about it. But it had always nagged at him, a small worry.
Would Mesprit be like Lugia and slowly poison her mind like she had with Cillian Quinn? Or would it be like what Necrozma had done to him?
Complete and total dominance and control?

"That's worrying. I don't trust Legendaries." That did extend to Cobalion, though he didn't express that to Melody herself.

"I know you'll keep her safe, Melody."
