Remiel chuckles, still a little embarrassed about the whole thing. "Believe me, I know." Meanwhile, his Goodra bends down to boop its nose with a BAGON it finds hiding from the rain beneath a big leaf. It's shivering and looks quite famished, and the Goodra turns to its master as if requesting for assistance on behalf of the little dragon.

Shifting his poncho aside to pull a piece of jerky out of his pack, Remiel crouches down to slowly reach it out to the Bagon. Though hesitant at first, it eventually scarfs down the treat. It then bumps Remiel's hand for more.

"I do," The royal responds to Matias' latest inquiry, pulling out another one of the aforementioned Luxury Balls from his pack. "I can't imagine what it's like in one of these balls, but my Pokémon seem to find this kind more to their liking." He taps the ball against the Bagon's nose.

"i never thought about it like that."[break][break]

it makes him feel just a bit guilty of having over nine hundred pokemon in regular pokeballs. he does his best to make sure they get out and about, but the sheer number of them makes it incredibly difficult to at times.[break][break]

"it's a bit too late now but i guess i can try catching my next few pokemon with them."[break][break]

not the scrafty, though. he already has one and it's better than this wild one.

Startled by the rain, and anxious to find its mother, a MUDBRAY emerges from the dark in a full sprint to accidentally endanger them with its STRENGTH as the MUDSDALE had. This interruption forces Remiel to pause from the conversation at hand as he orders his Hisuian Goodra to take SHELTER in its shell in front of it.

Going far too fast with its momentum to stop, the Mudbray crashes into the steel shell of that large beast and faints. Remiel is then happy to reunite it with its mother as he pulls another ball out of his pack and tosses it down.

"It's expensive to do so, but I trust an Elite Four member such as yourself can afford to." The ambassador says, reaching down to retrieve his latest capture. Turning towards the shadowy forest nearby, however, he changes the subject and points towards it. "Would you like to head in deeper? I could have sworn that mysterious cry we heard earlier came from here."

matias half-expects the prince to offer him a luxury ball to try it out so when no offer comes, he nods his head, a little let down. for a silph, he sure is frugal.[break][break]

with a gesture, matias starts heading deeper into the route only to be met with an obstagoon that seems to be standing guard. with its arms crossed over its chest, it looks at matias, then remy, then steps aside.[break][break]

It's cold and trudging through the rain and mud isn't necessarily pleasant, but the two men continue onward anyway. The prince's curiosity and the excitement that comes with possibly discovering a new and unknown Pokémon are personally enough to drive him on. And that curiosity extends to Matias as well, when he turns to ask:

"So... are you FERNANDO SILPH 's brother? Or cousin, perhaps?" Admittedly, the royal had never taken the chance to peruse the SILPH family tree to great extent.

Meanwhile, his Goodra accidentally steps on a CAMOFLOUGED GALARIAN STUNFISK. It bellows when its gooey foot is caught in its trap, then slips itself out from it easily before striking it unconscious with a POWER WHIP. Remiel considers whether lifting the GALARIAN EMBARGO was truly a good idea as he produces a Luxury Ball from his pack and tosses it down for a capture.

The ambassador stops to pull his hood back for a moment, eyeing Matias' face with slightly narrowed eyes before laughing. "Ah, yes, there it is: that sharp Silph facial structure. It's the hair that threw me off, really. Yours is much better." He compliments, shifting his hood back on fully as they continue onward.

A PALPITOAD momentarily blocks their path, however, GROWLING at the party when they interrupt its basking in the rain. Comically, it is almost immediately struck down with a POWER WHIP on behalf of Remiel's Goodra. Afterward, the man pulls out a shiny new Luxury Ball and casts it.

the absence of a hood is what allows matias to see the whimpering masbosstiff off to the side. it looks at him with wide eyes as though pleading for food.[break][break]
