"Oh, thanks for that," Remiel says, huffing the last of that foul odor out from his nostrils. "My nose is sensitive to smell and that was downright awful." He adds.

Meanwhile, just above, a WEEDLE hangs from a leaf to try and BUG BITE him. When it falls, however, it misses him by a foot and struggles to right itself back up. It never gets the chance when Remiel's Lycanroc descends upon it with a FIRE FANG, however.

Deciding the CALCIFET DRACIARY needed a bit more bug life, the prince retrieves an empty Luxury Ball from his pack and casts it downward at the scorched little bug.

"oh yeah they smell awful in general. sweet pokemon, though."[break][break]

at least from experience. his trubbish is kind, gentle, and timid, anxious about being left out due to its smell and appearance which makes it isolate itself from others. he's since had to fix that, to reassure it that it's perfect as it is.[break][break]

he won't call his trubbish out now, though. he doesn't want to make the prince suffer.[break][break]

thankfully, the amoonguss is not as smelly. it keeps to itself, on guard just in case.

Suddenly, on a ridge just above them, one of the Grafaiai Gang miscreants appears. Wearing a gas mask, the lad carries a KOFFING in both hands that he unceremoniously casts down at them like a beach ball. "Incoming!" Remiel calls out to both Matias and his blue Lycanroc.

Before it can emit a HAZE, the wolf strikes the Koffing away with a swift tackle (ACCELEROCK). The Koffing staggers in the air, and Remiel is quick to follow up with a Luxury Ball to capture it. Up above, the miscreant clicks his tongue with annoyance and runs off as a LURANTIS stays behind to cover him. "You were supposed to EXPLODE!"

with the koffing handled, matias wastes no time in dealing with the lurantis. instead of ordering his pokemon, he simply flicks his wrist, summoning a STONE EDGE underneath the lurantis that propels it up into the air.[break][break]

tangrowth slams it back down with its POWER WHIP, knocking it out.[break][break]

Remiel nods. "Let's give chase," He says, climbing the ledge to reach the level their recent assailant had been on. His Lycanroc effortlessly reaches said level with a single jump and begins using its ODOR SLEUTH to lead the way.

They're briefly diverted, however, when the wolf instead follows a curious scent into a bush. It's attacked with a surprise tackle just then (KNOCK OFF), and the SHROODLE that issued it immediately regrets doing so when it is mangled by a FIRE FANG. Remiel orders his canine to stop with a single command and prompts it to drop its capture at his feet.

"Funny little thing..." Remiel mutters, pulling an empty Luxury Ball out of his pack before tossing it forward. "But better in my hands than any of theirs."

As they move forward down the forest trail, however, he takes a moment to ask Matias a question. "Say... how well do you know dahlia goode ?" The prince inquires, casting a curious glance in the man's direction.

In the distance, Remiel swears he sees a ramshackle base of some sort past the trees. Before he can confirm its presence, however, a LEDYBA begins to buzz around him incessantly with great AGILITY. It seems interested in his pack for some reason. Nevertheless, Adal dislikes its lack of personal space and strikes the bug done with a FIRE FANG. Remiel feels bad for it afterward and casts a ball.

"I see..." The prince says in response to Matias' answer, reaching down to retrieve his latest capture. "I have a meeting with her soon," He admits. "We've spoken before, of course, but never in great length."

He stops there, however, when he knows for sure that they've found the Grafaiai Gang's base ahead. Looking towards the Elite Four trainer and gesturing towards it, he smiles.

"Let's see what they got."

he's never had a one on one meeting with the commissioner before. all of their interactions have always been in group settings, like the time he was reprimanded for using Melody Miro's relicanth to retrieve groudon.[break][break]

but he remembers how the commissioner eyed him then. how she gleamed over the red shards adorning his skin.[break][break]

up ahead, the gang's base comes into sight, and matias eagerly nods as a GRASSY TERRAIN seeps out from underneath tangrowth.[break][break]
