Roving gangs who fashioned themselves after GRAFAIAI had taken refuge within the PETALBURG WOODS. Ever so often, they'd emerge to terrorize RUSTBORO and PETALBURG with thievery, vandalism, and, on occasion, assault. Naturally, the LEAGUE had put the call out for trainers to resolve the issue...

But, unfortunately, many had tried only to fail.

Having taken the graffiti on the GALARIAN EMBASSY building as an affront, but also hoping to aid his home of Rustboro City since he isn't a total GRINCH, Remiel Calcifet sets out with his SHINY LYCANROC to sniff these gangs out. The forest is thriving as always, however, and the near-constant ambient sound of wild Pokémon makes it difficult to pinpoint one sound from another. Then, suddenly, they run into a familiar face.

His wolf senses MATIAS SILPH first (ODOR SLEUTH) and calmly saunters to stand in front of the ambassador.

"We keep meeting like this, Silph," The prince smiles. "What brings you out to the forest today?"

The bright green TANGROWTH almost blends in with the surrounding environment perfectly. Remiel waves back at it before responding to Matias. "I'm hunting some criminals who have been terrorizing Rustboro and Petalburg. They might make for more exciting sport," He teases, unaware that an ARBOK is stalking him from a tree branch above. "Care to join?"

The Arbok suddenly drops down, looking to COIL the ambassador within its body. With great reflex and speed, however, his Lycanroc thwarts the attempt with a swift tackle (ACCELEROCK). The cobra is instead slammed against a tree nearby. When it weakly tries to slither away, however, Remiel casts an empty ball at it before retrieving it.

far more exciting than strolling around petalburg woods, that's for sure. the only good thing to come from that is the paldea pokemon he may encounter, but even then, that pales in comparison to taking down criminals.[break][break]

well, it pales compared to conflict in general, but the end goal is certainly to bring them in.[break][break]

his encounter with the venonat is far more peaceful. tangrowth simply wraps an arm around it and lifts it back up into the tree.[break][break]

"Splendid," Remiel remarks, stepping forward to join Matias before they begin to explore together. "These vagrants fashion themselves after GRAFAIAI, a Paldean Pokémon. Have you seen it before?"

Meanwhile, a VIKAVOLT nags at his Lycanroc with attempts at a VICE GRIP. The wolf paws it away a few times but, when it keeps coming back, he finally puts it down with a FIRE FANG. After dropping its unconscious body at Remiel's feet, the prince produces an empty ball to catch it.

Just past some bushes, an ARMALDO can be seen BUG BITING at a particularly large mushroom. Remiel stops for a moment to observe it with fascination. When Matias makes his remark, however, he feels compelled to respond without even really thinking about it. "They are, aren't they? Dripping fingers and all."

To be fair, he was used to seeing Armaldo in their fossil form. One didn't need to be quiet with fossils.

Nevertheless, the Armaldo in question is immediately alerted to their presence and charges at the prince with a rattling cry and the intent of a SMACK DOWN. Thankfully, Adal intercepts with a COUNTER. Knocked back onto its shell, its rather helpless to the toss of an empty luxury ball.

Remiel personally didn't care for the pre-evolution of Grafaiai. It looked like a Roomba with bug eyes. Though he doesn't warrant saying as much, especially when a HAUNTER emerges from the darkness to try and CURSE him.

Casting the phantom a sharp glare, however, the prince manages to buy his Lycanroc enough time to swoop in with a FIRE FANG. The Haunter is mangled at his feet before Remiel pulls out an empty Luxury Ball. Then, without further hesitation, he tosses it for capture before moving on.

"Yes, let's," The ambassador responds with a nod, following the direction his Lycanroc's ODOR SLEUTH had taken them to prior. However, he can't help but notice the putrid STENCH of a TRUBBISH somewhere nearby either.
