A bunker beneath the MOSSDEEP SPACE CENTER? Belial Stone supposed it made sense considering the explosive takeoffs for each rocket. Anything built to withstand that needed to be fortified. Furthermore, one could almost be certain that no one would go near such a place or stumble across it by accident.

The intel gathered through PROJECT LOCKBOX had provided them with proof of the existence of a bunker here, but reaching its entrance was another matter. Perhaps infiltrating the space center itself was their next move. Or, perhaps, the entrance was to be found somewhere near the launch pad itself. "It has to be one of the two, right?" Belial brainstorms with his partner mint frost as they sit on a bench in a plaza preceding the space center.

"The space center or the launchpad... I suppose we can start with the one that's right in front of us." He grins, rising up. A small LITTEN that had been napping beneath the bench yawns as he stirs awake. "ANVIL provides security for this place, so I'll just tell them we're running an operations check." He adds.

He sipped his little frap, mulling over their options. A bunker under Mossdeep Space Center? That the League specifically didn't own? Who was rich enough to commission that? Or maybe it was just nearby and the permissions to being nearby had been handwaved or missed. Regardless, they were sort of stuck. [break][break]

"Somehow, I highly doubt its a bunker inside the Space Center itself that wouldn't be League surveillance and use." he said before he took another sip. "We can send some pokemon to double check but...my money is on launch pad. If not directly under then somewhere in the open field around it, hidden away." [break][break]

"We can scrutinize the basement floors under cover just to rule it out and then spread out from there with a metal detector?" he offered. "Either way, it's not an easy in or out situation like a hidden base in Petalburg may be." he added. Mint pulled out his phone scrolling through his pc to see if he wanted to change out his team.

Belial nods, more or less in agreement with the younger Rocket. "Sometimes the best place to hide something is right under someone's nose." He smirks, tapping his own. "In any case, there are doors on the basement floor that even my staff hasn't been given access to. They're told it leads to old generator stations that aren't in use anymore, but I don't know how much faith I have in that."

Taking a moment to stretch his arms upward and flex his neck, S.P.E.C.T.R.A. co-captain smiles before looking over at the other. "You go check the launchpad. I'll handle the space station." He nods, striding ahead towards the building in question with his Litten in tow. "Try not to get caught." He adds, casting a half-hearted wave over his shoulder.

"I can be low key when I want!" Mint protested half heartedly. He waves back, even if Belial might not see it. He heads to the launch pad all the same. First walking outside towards the building and checking a couple of maps for the actual size of the launch pad. He'd be a pretty obvious target if he went in as is. Maybe...a technician? Engineer? Contract worker made sense right? There was some construction and maintenance to be had at all times in a place like this, right? He wandered inside eyeing the place as his Zigzagoon returned to his pokeball. [break][break]

"Sorry buddy, I need stealth today." he let's out his Spinarak, the little spider clinging to his back and climbing up to his shoulder. He spots a contracter roaming and nods. Ciambotta spots the target with ease, tiny body following until they're alone before the bug type strikes. [break][break]

In a flash their contractor is tied up and unconscious, left in the dark of a supply closet as Mint made off with their coverall and helmet. From there is a quick walk to the employees only door and bam. [break][break]

He one of the very few people surveying the launch pad. He gets to work, putting on his glasses and checking through the moves. He taps into the comms, "It's a bit rough but I'm doing a thermal sweep. I'm thinking if there is a tunnel down here, it'll be a whole hell of a lot cooler than the rest of this concrete."

Belial is already well on his way to the lower levels by the time mint frost checks in again. "Copy that," He responds, his finger on the dial of his earpiece as he approaches the final door leading to the aforementioned 'generator rooms'. "I'll probably lose signal in a moment, so meet me aboveground in twenty minutes. If one of us doesn't show up, we'll know something went wrong." He adds.

Releasing the dial as he drops his hand, Belial stops before the locked door before gesturing his Litten toward it. "Blow it open, yeah?" The cat sits on its haunches and stares up at him for a moment. But, eventually, it gets back up again before taking a stance. In an instant, its body ignites with flame before it FLARE BLITZES its way through the door.

The sound of that echoes down the hallway... but no one above seems to have heard it. Or, if they did, no one seems to care enough to come down and investigate. Belial clicks his tongue disapprovingly. Though he supposes they're at a disadvantage given the fact that their security force works for him.

Pulling out and clicking on a hefty flashlight from his pack, the mercenary captain proceeds into the dark under-levels of the space station with his fiery cat in tow. Before too long, the signal from his comms unit disappears entirely.

Mint keeps looking, walking quickly with his clipboard and pen, stomping and scuffing his borrowed boots on the floor. Nobody bothered him and his partner as he went through. The launch pad isn't particularly illuminating. It's all roughly the same heat signature, and for a while he wonders if perhaps its too thick of a cover to show any changes. [break][break]

"All clear out here." he said quietly waiting before trying again just in case. "All clear." No reply. Shit. [break][break]

He sucks his teeth and began heading back to their meeting place, and checks the time. There's a couple minutes left on the clock, but he knows Belial would be prompt. If not...where...they had the schematics for the building right? He could figure his way out towards him. That is....if the schematics were even accurate. [break][break]

As time passes, Mint counts down the seconds for his partner to come back. And when he doesn't, he tires comms again. "Neon here, can you hear my transmissions, over?" and when he doesn't get a response, Mint high tails it to the lower floors ready to find Belial.
