for now, his pokemon deal with the rest of the attack. mr. mime leaps up to take the ENERGY BALL and ends up getting knocked out. kangaskhan rushes forward to meet the SOLAR BEAM. it also gets knocked out.[break][break]

ah, the ROCK SLIDE. that disappears after a moment of the ground manipulating and shifting. no longer are PENELOPE LIVY and he separated.[break][break]

The rock slide came and it left no victims untouched.

The sound of rumbling rocks flooded the battlefield. First it came toward her Blaizken, who'd taken the hit while looking to defend PENELOPE LIVY, effectively knocking him out. Then, it came toward her Hattrene, who'd held just enough time to defend against its onslaught with a hefty PROTECT. But, worse than the knock out and scattered abilities, the river of rock looked to separate them from one another.

Logic didn't connect. In the moment of battle, where only war sieged her ears, there was no time to process what had happened. She bit down on her bottom lip, unable to search for the answer she desperately needed.

Right before madness could further interrupt her thoughts, the ground shifted between them. And, without fail, the rocks had been swallowed up by the earth. Gulped down like a pack of tic-tacks.
