Despite the fact that he hadn't been a member of Team Rocket for all that long, Olliver had been getting assigned to some rather interesting tasks. Whether it be due to the surrounding topics that they had all gone over during their team wide meeting or whether it was just dumb luck and perfect timing, Olliver wasn't sure. Either way, at the moment he had been out with one of the few individuals that had reigned at the top of the rankings. Zev Harcourt; Rocket Beast. And their objective? To further research the time-space distortions.

Just as Zev would go on to communicate with Olliver about what he had wished of him, Olliver would dutifully perform. Without a second though, Olliver would call forth his Metagross from its pokeball. It was larger than the average Metagross, sitting at about ten feet all around. "Right." Once that much had been settled, Olliver would follow directly behind Zev, hoping to keep up. Perhaps, if he was lucky, he could see some rather interesting things with Zev.

Hisuian.. Braviaries?? These were something that he hadn't seen since he was a kid. Pokemon that he would have loved to of caught any other day. But here and now, whilst he was out with Zev?? Well it just didn't seem like the appropriate time for such a thing. That having been said, Olliver would attempt to follow suit with Zev's actions.

"Metagross, us-" Before he could even finish his sentence, the Hisuian Braviary would unleash a torrent of wind around his Metagross. The fierce wind would bat around the Metagross for a moment but at least the Pokemon had still been listening. "-e Psychic."

With his command having gone through, Metagross's eyes would begin to glow a bright red. All four of its brains would work together to exert a powerful telekinetic force from the X on its face, sending the purple blast of telekinetic energy into the side of the winged beast.

Zev Harcourt

After having received the blow from Olliver's Metagross, the Hisuian Braviary would soar back into the air and gain a bit of altitude. At first it had seemed as though it was retreating but.. Well that simply hadn't been the case. No, this Braviary had only flown back up so that it could tucks in its wings and charge towards the Metagross at a low altitude.

The speed in which this Braviary was coming towards Olliver and his Metagross was astonishing. Honestly, it wasn't looking all that great right now. Hoping to combat what was about to occur, Olliver would simply say a single command aloud. "Take Down."

In perhaps a rather unprecedented manner, Olliver would command his Metagross to butt heads with the descending Braviary. He had figured that out of the two, that his Metagross would come out on top. And well.. Thankfully it would come to pay off. The Braviary and the Metagross would collide, causing the Braviary to crash into the ground unconscious and for his Metagross to take a decent amount of recoil damage. It was a smidge upsetting to see but.. It worked out well enough.

With that said and done, Olliver would attend to his Metagross. He wasn't quite sure how to help it aside from applying a misting spray to its wounds, which was effectively a basic potion anyways. "So.. Where should we start?? I take it that you know more about these things at present than I do, due to our difference in ranks and time here."

Zev Harcourt

A curt nod would be offered to the Rocket Beast as Olliver would prepare to survey the area. "Understood." Before continuing on, Olliver would remove a pokeball from his belt and call forth his Indeedee. His gaze would then turn towards his Indeedee as he pulled a notepad from his pocket and tossed it to her. "You know what to do."

With both of his intelligence gathering Pokemon out on display, Olliver would proceed in his own direction and would slowly but surely ascertain what he could from the area. As he had done so, his Indeedee would write down what was being said aloud and his Metagross was being sure to record it within each of its four brains.

"Let the record show that there is a severe lack of information pertaining to the legendary creatures known as Dialga and Palkia. What can be noted, however, is the fact that this space-time distortion seems to be larger than the average, based off of former recorded data." Taking a moment to retrieve a modified PDA from his backpack, he would start to measure the size and rate in which this particular distortion was moving. This was to double check his information with the existing information that Rocket had been provided.

The fact that this particular distortion had been stretched and expanded had already been interesting enough to warrant an additional investigation. Add in the fact that the winds and turbulence that the distortion had been putting out had been moving admittedly slower and one could assume that something big was going to occur. Perhaps not at this very moment but in the near future.

Several machines would be removed from his bag at this point, such as a handheld wind profiler, a video camera, a stopwatch, and a Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observer. Each machine would be thrown into effect as Olliver had taken a seat on the ground and continued to observe the surrounding events. "From what I can tell, this particular space-time distortion seems to be subject to slower winds and turbulence. One might assume that this will translate into a prolonged period of time in which the distortion remains. This begs the question on whether or not additional Pokemon shall appear as time goes on. Or perhaps.. What would occur if we remain within the distortion for the entirety of this time??"

"The interior of the distortion seems to be stretched and expanded, almost as if zoomed out to the point where colors and patterns in the swirling membrane of interdimensional interference are almost blurring. Is this perhaps a sign that the collision of worlds is leading up to a full union?? Is the sphere in which we live in finally melding to the point of unison??"

With Zev having made his way back over towards Olliver, the researcher would crane his neck back towards the man. His gaze would swap between the equipment and the man himself as he had spoken up. "Useful is a tad subjective but I suppose that you could say that. From what I've managed to gather, this distortion seems to stand out from the others that have previously been encountered."

For Olliver, this was his first time within a space-time distortion. If it wasn't for the fact that information had previously been gathered by other member of Team Rocket, he wouldn't have had much else to go on. "From what I can tell, this distortion in particular is larger than those that we have come upon earlier on. Larger than the ones that have descended upon Hoenn since prior to the meteors descent anyways. It would also seem as though the distortion is moving.. slower?? While I'm not quite sure as to why, I'm hoping that the information that my machines are gathering will be enough to tell us why."

He would then begin to gesture to the area around them. "What I'm worried about is the possibility of the distortions stabilizing. While this might not seem like such a bad thing to some, the possibility of it stabilizing could likely mean that these distortions will act as gateways. To these other worlds or times.."

The more that he had spoken on the matter, the more anxious Olliver would become. While he had taken a vested interest in the multiverse as a whole, the thought of these worlds becoming one could only mean trouble. There would be an influx of Pokemon and people, each with their own goals and habits. Fuck the business between the League and Team Rocket. This could mean a war between worlds as they know it. "Or at least that's what I'm worried will happen. Given everything that is transpiring with the Unown, the legendary Pokemon, and the meteor, it is entirely possible that one of two things might happen. Either our worlds will merge completely.. or a "Big Bang" would occur, essentially creating a new universe. Whether we would merge into this new universe or not remains to be seen."

"Hm.." It was already evident that Olliver didn't have enough information about the space-time distortions or the events that had been transpiring for quite some time. Perhaps he had been living under a rock with all that time spent focusing solely on his research back in Littleroot.

"I see..." It was embarrassing that he had been lacking so much information. And to have proven that exact fact to one of the more influential members of his organization. "In that case, as embarrassing as it is, I have a few questions to ask.." He was admittedly having a rather difficult time manifesting these words for Zev.

"Given that I am finding myself rather in the dark about such things, would you perhaps be willing to inform me of what you know?? Everything that is going on with Dialga, Palkia, and the Unown.. While I have my own theories about what's going on, that clearly isn't enough. I can't even blame the fact that I'm so new to the organization for this. It is my own ineptitude that has led to this."

"What are the things that I need to know about what's currently going on..??" A difficult question to muster together for the sake of understanding. "Until I get all the relevant information, I'm afraid that I won't be of much use to the organization. For example, who is the DRK Triad?? And Father Winter??"
